Weller had intended for Setting Sons to be a concept album of sorts, telling the story of three friends who, after having gone their separate ways and lived through a war, reunite only to discover how much they've changed.

Good question.

"The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society" immediately jumps to mind.

"The Liberty Of Norton Folegate" by Madness is an absolute banger of a concept album and, to my ears, by far and away their best work.

(One for @Harry Wilson's tackle ) "The Kid" by Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith.

Husker Du, "Zen Arcade". Roughly the same idea as the above.

XTC 'English Settlement' is a double album, and probably therefore a concept album by default. That's a cracker.

And most Laibach albums. Pick of the bunch probably being "The Sound Of Music", not least because they premiered it in North Korea.

I finally 'got' Rush during lockdown and soon regretted not taking any of the many opportunities I had to see them over the years.
