Surprised by the lack of Ferguson here, he’s in mine for sure. Along with an early call for Joao Pedro - it might just be from one game but based on that, he looked STRONG!

Mine:

Igor, Dunk, Webster, Milner, Ferguson, Caicedo, Joao Pedro.
Yes - Evan should definitely be there - at Everton in Jan(maybe first start) he took retribution for a foul on Kauro(I think) and earned a yellow just before half time

Much needed. I feel like we're looking a bit thin.

What we reckon?

Dunk
Igor
Van Hecke
Veltman
I could be wrong but I can imagine Undav having a bit of the Maupay about him
Milner?
Steele

Dahoud looks like he'd be diplomatic and try to solve things with words, can imagine him with the calm down gesture.

Enciso won't be in the fight but will be the reason the fight is happening, cheeky little fella.

Uncle Danny will take Tariq home immediately to keep him out of harm's way.

...?
Shame on you - no Pervis.

When thingy from Utd went for Dunk, down in the SW corner, Perv was up and it him in a second.
There's a great photo of him busting a gut to get there first.

The fact that Steele wasn't was an incredibly telling mark against him.

Not sure Enciso deserves to be called a wind up merchant on this thread.

He did not concede an inch when that Bournemouth defender squared up to him last season. He just snarled at him and sent him on his way.

I’d like to think he’d defend the badge.
He also got in his hero Almiron’s face

You're almost there.

I'd take out Milner for an axis of The Lana, Webbo and Solly.

Clearly it's The Lana's position but obviously needs place holding.

we need to be very concerned that the GKU isn't stepping up.
Irrespective as to who's in front of him, that it not the position to scrimp on.

I'd pick Welbz to stand beside me if it all turned a little naughty, his role in the Dunk vs Antony scrap mustn't be overlooked. He was well up the field but got himself right in the thick of the action. Pervis was keen to dish out some peace as well, always love his immediate reaction to the little runt kicking off.

Looking at the new fella's disciplinary record of late, he's the captain without even setting out on a pitch yet.

Milner for Lallana, Webbo and Solly ? I know Solly has bulked up a bit, but just no. Webbo maybe when we were a bit short, but Lana couldn't have scared a children's party when he was at his England best.

I would have thought your whole post was a piss take, if it wasn't for the second line highlighting the genuinely worrying situation with the GKU

Hmmmm, if he can stay on the pitch long enough you might want to re-evaluate The Lana with your 7 eyes.

He's a spiky little gobshite, but I think there's a bit of a paternal thing going on as well.
He's not going to back down when the flan is flying (being a cyborg killing machine isn't in the job description - standing up to the T1000 to defend your team mate is).

As said though you do need to be there in the first place, it's taken 10 years but Solly's finally getting some game and Webster only gets off lightly because there's no way we can expect the glorious run of 7's the Albion have had for nearly half a century.

Neither are 7's, and in fairness The Lana isn't first ballot, but between the 3 we'll not be let down and 1 position is covered.

1. Dunk. I don't think he's particularly aggressive buy physically confident and the boss.
2. Jason Steele. All goalkeepers are secret psychopaths and he's from the North East.
3. Pervis - on one of those Q&A's they do with the players a few different ones mentioned perv as a double hard bastard.
4. Evan Ferguson - wouldn't overthink anything, just start swinging. massive unit, presumably played hurling as a kid and all Irish kids from bleak seaside towns are rock hard.
5. Veltman. He'd behind Dunk who would be doing palms out 'everyone calm down' false sense of security stuff while Joel sends out snide, blindside shots to the ribs of the opponents.
6. Igor. Clearly rock hard.comes flying out like a cave troll just as the oppo are tiring.
7. Moises. Was the person everyone said was the 2nd most double hard bastard in the team and is seriously hench. One of those that is laid back but if you got him riled in a fight would never give up and you'd need to kill him.

Not a bad line up but they'll need to be as the rest of the team seem high on the perfume and manicure scale to be honest.

We should get a decent look at who's going to stake a claim for this season's Seven.

Luton aren't going to be EPL passive, I'm sure they'll be a degree of 'they don't like it up'em' about their play.

Now that the transfer window has been gently eased shut, do we think our group of seven is stronger or weaker? I have hopes for Igor, and specialist defensive midfielders aren't usually pushovers, but I can't say that I'm excited by the business we've done this summer.

Obvs it's a bit unfair to judge the new guys before we've even seen how they react to a snide opposition WUM (why do those incidents never make the YouTube highlights reels?) so I look forward to having this post bounced after Fati has proved to be an unstoppable psycho.
