The 100 STH who applied at Swansea via the special bins were too f***ing slow? Including me?
Piss off!

Wasn't the Swansea game 2 or 3 days after the details were announced? Those applications were treated as getting in the day after the Swansea game so I imagine a fair few were too slow at that point.

I think this IS a wind-up, This is the same poster who said he'd rung the ticket office and the Tranmere game was sold out.

...and then posted a thread on here saying that the game was sold out, when it wasn't. I'd forgotten about that. Any sympathy, such as it was, has now evaporated entirely.

Have a GREAT time at West Ham, everyone. I'm sure you'll have a great day to remember for ever.

Anyway, in case it ISN'T a wind up. ...

Well f*** off then bhafc4eva. We don't want your sort as season ticket holders, I'd rather there were empty seats at Withdean instead of moaning wankers like you. I bet you boo players like Gatting because he isn't Wayne Rooney. We'll be better of without you so f*** off and support Chelsea as can all STHs who moan about ticket allocation.

(Actually bhafc4eva even if it IS a wind-up you are still a wanker ...)

Good spot.

You are very wrong with the circumstances as to my lack of games this season and the reason why i had no stubbs.

I dont think i need to explain them to you,but even when i am in Belfast i STILL get to most games home and away, and let me tell you that probably costs alot more that what your season ticket costs (yes i know it dosent all go to the club).

My point is that if i got a ticket, and season ticket holders didnt i can only guess they were too slow applying.I applied within an hour of the draw.I didnt wait until 2 or 3 or 4 days afterwards.

Swansea was not late. Over 100 STH are very pissed off now I would imagine. Including me. If you haven't got the gist of my responses by now.

The ticketing policy is far from ideal, but sadly the Albion will not adopt a system that records away loyalty. However it does seem if you got them in during the first couple of days, generally that got you a ticket.

I'm entering very late in this splendidly draining debate and am hardly the brightest bulb in the chandelier, but...

What is the point in the database system if the club can't record away loyalty?

Surely it can't be hard for them to operate this sort of scheme - when you buy an away ticket, you get a point on your record, and then those with the most points get priority...and people who get their ticket at the ground can send in their stub for the point.

This would also encourage people to want the fact they were at a game recorded, allowing the club to know exactly who was at each game - which I seem to recall was the point of the AMS?

On the club website it said postal applications ONLY would be accepted from WEDNESDAY - BUT any fans going to the Swansea match, could post in the bins and their applications would be accepted as having arrived in the post WEDNESDAY.
Anyone handing in at the shop (or within hours of the draw) should have been put to the bottom of those applying as they'd been told to do VIA POST or VIA THE BINS.

You can vent your spleens all you want on here, but nothings going to change until the club changes the policy. Getting all righteous and come uppy about who's been to longest STH or what not will never ever help.

Some of you should thank your lucky stars you can actually go to games full stop. I can't and I miss it dearly. But then again maybe I should start a thread and moan about that too?

Details were announced Monday. Swansea game was on Tuesday with the applications to be treated as if they arrived Wed morning.

Are you saying that a steward or someone lost a box of applications from Tuesday night?

I totaly understand that you are pissed off.The point i am trying to make this week is that moaning about it on here will not get you anywhere.

You could use your time and effort to maybe seek other avenues of getting to the game, after all where theres a will theres a way n all that.

I didnt get a ticket for Spurs, but instead of whinging about it for weeks beforehand i spent all my time exploring all other avenues and it paid off.I got my ticket the night before and flew over on the day of the game.

Dont give up on getting a ticket....

Why? What's the difference between posting through the shop letterbox and allowing Royal Mail to deliver it?

For ever game I have ever applied for I have got a ticket including the west ham game the reason I have applied as soon as the details are out. Simple rule if its a game thats gonna sell out apply before everyone else and you will get a tciket.

Its not hard.

I pushed mine through the club shop door because I thought it might be safer than sending my debit card details in a letter via Royal Mail.

Agree with most of the above.........however, I also totally understand how those who haven,t got tickets feel. If I was in their position, I,d want to let off some steam too....! What I don,t understand is why so many of the rest of you are telling them to F**k off etc etc. We all know there,s going to be people disappointed (I didn,t get a ticket to Swindon away in the playoffs.....finished up driving to Northampton first, on the day to pick up a ticket from someone who couldn,t go ).Let them have their rant.....IT,S OK.
