Juan Albion said:She is by no means the only one who has left this place, and I don't blame any of them. Tedebear, you are right: it is largely because too many on here don't know how to combine freedom of speech with respect for others. Shame, because he was a fellow Albion fan. How many others have we lost from here?
Freedom of speech is a freedom that needs to be used wisely. It is not an excuse to think you can say whatever you like without consequences.

I bet Yorkie does ....
Well said.......completely agree with all of that.tedebear said:Its a crying shame - I'd rather read her posts than a shed load of the other crap on here, but some people took "freedom of speech" too far. NSC is a great place to practice it, but there is a line and Yorkie is quite entitled to the respect she deserves, not a slating for her beliefs. Glad the end of the season is rolling on in and hopefully by next season some of the idiots on here with mouths that open before brain engages will have grown up...
Surely it does, otherwise it wouldn't be free speechPorky said:I don't believe in censorship, but at the same time, fre speech does not allow you to stand in a crowded movie theatre and shout FIRE!

Re catholic priests, after a week when yet another victim of abuse commited suicide here in Limerick after the diocese had threatened him with legal action if he said anything, I have full sympathy with Zeferelly's views. When the Catholic church stop squirming out of their responsibilities and covering up the misdemeanours of their priests and bishops then maybe they might command a bit more respect.
Ooooh, get you Mavis. (only in jest dude, no need to be offfended by little Woodchip)enigma said:Jesus, Looney you really are a boring twat. I have seen you do nothing but abuse people on here, so thats bollocks.
Shame you cant take it when its dished out- its not my fault you tried to look cool by saying you were a member of the mature students society and ballroom dancing. Not my fault if everyone thinks you're a geek.

chip said:Your remarks about tarnishing all Catholic priests with the same brush because of some of their number's behaviour, and that of their Church, is they same as blaming ALL muslims for the behaviour of a few, for example. Their are many examples of Catholic priests who have condemned the behaviour of the Church in its handling of this outrageous scandal. The implication of your comment is that they are all guilty of the same crime regardless.
