Ashley deserves a club whose supporters appreciate him. He has been a star performer for over three years for us; picked consistently by Gus and Oscar. His touch, his work rate and his commitment to the team, and the club is first rate, and his hold up play has improved tenfold since he first joined. He's versatile and is one of the best finishers at the club.
It's sad seeing so many people criticising him so severely every time we play; win, lose or draw. Yes he's not scored this season, but he's played very well and is a key part of our team especially with the injuries to Ulloa and CMS. I can't wait for him to bang in a hat-trick next week.
Keep up the good work Ashley, some of us can see what you do and appreciate you for it

But the most important role in any side is scoring goals and Barnes is supposed to be a striker.

Why do we care if Barnes doesn't score goals, so long as he assists us in scoring enough goals to win us matches or gain something from them? He's done that in the last two games and has earned his place in the team for the next match.

Love the Barnes haters, they clearly know nothing about football. Poyet rated him highly, OG seems to rate him, and burnley see enough in him to bid half a million quid. Good all round player that deserves some support from the fans.

Poyet rated Harley enough to buy him, OG hasn't had much choice but to play him.And half a million quid doesnt exactly get you much these days.Personally i think we should have snapped their hands off.Wont get offered that again.
