The Potter lovers still wanking off over every defeat. Utterly bizarre.
Somewhat ironic that the run of form, lack of goals and overall performance is as bad as Potter at his worse - but with much better players.

Who are the better players?

As I said the other week, Potter got a side 16th containing Mac allister, Trossard, White, Welbeck, Veltman, Burn, Dunk Sanchez, Lallana, Maupay, Gross and Bissouma.

We now have a half fit Enciso and Pedro available to us but have lost half of that lot. And we've upgraded at left back, but he is carrying an injury.

Our squad if anything is worse, it certainly isn't 'much better'. Adingra, Baleba and Buonanotte are kids with potential. As much potential as Bissouma and Ali Mac were showing that season? Mmm

..........................and The Cult of de Zerbi comes wading in at the slightest hint of criticism of the great man. Also utterly bizarre.

De Zerbi is a good manager/head coach, but he is not perfect.
Potter was a good manager/head coach, but also not perfect.
FFS, it's not a binary choice!

Yet so many keep harping on about Potter this Potter that. Tedious.

De Zerbi is overly reliant on wingers. He managed to get by in autumn with a plan B involving wing backs and Hinshelwood, but with him gone we've been a sorry mess. It took him too long to drop Steele, and we've been too sloppy at the back and with set pieces both ends. Obvious criticisms, but he's had the family silver sold, lost the star wingers we relied on last season, and dealt with probably the worst injury crisis in club history. Plus 8 extra games. And half a squad who can't play twice a week, meaning people like Gross are probably burned out because they can't be dropped.

None of this is relevant to Graham f***ing Potter learning and taking the positives.

The current best first team and squad, are worse. Add the injuries too.

The teams that beat Liverpool 5-2 or Arsenal 0-3, would take this Albion team apart.

Look at the rest of the squad from that season we´re a lot better now. The only ones banging on about Potter are the Zerbi cultists desperately rushing in to defend their deity. They have nothing to say about or football or results "remember how bad Potter was" is their last ditch defense but all falling apart now. Tony will sort us a manager better than dull Potter and better than this ego maniac showboating Italian

RDZ's got to take some responsibility for the worst injury crisis.
He and his team should have dealt with fixture congestion much better early in the season. He ignored a sign of fatigue and minor injuries to players he always wanted on the pitch for the full 90mins every match and forced them to overwork until they got seriously injured.

He has been rotating since the first game of the season

That’s a take and a half given he was mostly getting criticised for too much rotation

Yen I feel sorry for Di Zerbi, I have minor quibbles with some of what he does like not playing Pedro here but he was obviously trying to minimise his workload in case he breaks down quickly. Obviously he doesn’t have the players to compete even for top 10 now and that should provoke some introspection from the board

It'll provoke a reset.

RDZ will depart ( most likely)
Gross will return to Germany.
Mitoma is likely candidate to be sold.
Pedro is likely candidate to be sold.
March will likely not return to 1st team level fitness/effectiveness.

Quite some effort required to restart our European aspirations.

Hopefully a change of expectations to go with this

We play well for twenty minutes max per game. And sometimes we don’t even manage to do that. Forget the fluffy soulless fanzone shite and get a squad together because we are losing our identity.

It’s exactly that type of comment and attitude that would see RDZ leave.

What exactly was RDZ supposed to do differently yesterday?
Do you honestly believe RDZ is getting the most out of this squad and group of players? Do you think if we finish below 10th this is a worse squad than Potters that finished 9th?

This last bit of the season will define RDZ actual abilities for me

Yet so many jump to the fanciful and ridiculous conclusion that any criticism of de Zerbi is a desperate cry from 'Potter lovers' to get Potter back! It's just straightforward criticism/questioning of some of RDZ's decisions. Like fans do, especially when things aren't going well; which they aren't.
None of this is relevant to Graham f***ing Potter learning and taking the positives.
None of that is relevant to abusively disparaging the good work (along with the mistakes too) that 'Graham f***ing Potter' did. No need for the 'f***ing' in there; nobody questioning current form and results is saying 'Roberto f***ing de Zerbi'.

Overall performance now is much better. And according to the 'Bloom Out' contingent we had much better players under Potter before greedily selling them.
