Flask and a hip flask of whisky, pipe smoking on the terraces. The metallic stink from some factory by the Goldstone as you walked under the tunnel chanting “Seagulls”. Kids on milk crates. “Get that board down”
Am I the only one that remembers the smell of freshly baked bread emanating from Clarks bakery in Newtown Road, after an evening match?

One of my favourite memories of football as a kid is the smell of fags, beer, farts, piss and vomit. The smell of whisky infused coffee was alien to me - I can only think you must have been on the pre-1901 terrace with waiter service. :lolol:
I can understand the beer but are you sure the rest are amongst your favourite memories ? If so, I feel for you and your sense of smell !

We are splashing the cash for this winger then? A bit of an unknown quantity but should add some pace and depth to the team.

Yep, as a nipper, I can still smell the Scotch and Woodbine on The Chicken Run. Many blokes carried small canteens of Scotch.

PBOBE would’ve been handing out life bans like confetti .
Mine was the smell of the hot dog stand quite close to the men’s toilets at the ‘west’ end of the south stand…what a combination 👀

A lot of money but passes the eye test

We have lots of pace in the wings now, we just need a bit more in the middle of the park

I'm really excited by this signing. Yes it's a lot of money, but he looks like exactly what we've been crying out for on the right ever since March got injured. Pace, skill, someone who might do something unexpected (not just cut inside every time like Facu). Having this threat on the right will also free up space for Mitoma/Adingra on the left.

£33m will be nothing if he proves himself and develops as we expect.

How much defending are wingers expected to do under Hurzeler? Looks like he stays quite high from the highlights videos and others have said that he's still quite naive in decision making, so might need some training there.

I think you mean a bit of an unknown quantity to you and me. I'm guessing that if the club is stumping up £30m, they may, just may have done a bit of research first. Just possibly.
