Forest in for him now. Swap deal with elanga

Makes a lot of sense for Newcastle. They can whack his value up towards £50m+ and really sort those PSR issues out.

BTW, Chelsea seem to be insisting on a player swap with Leicester for KDH now. The transfer could collapse with KDH staying put. So in essence, the scum will have scuppered our deal and potentially got Leicester a points deduction. They’ll be more than happy with that.

Chelsea will do well to convince their players on 7 year deals to accept lesser terms elsewhere.

No updates regarding this deal happening. But reading some quotes from a Rotterdam based Newcastle fan, Minteh sounds like a fun, if expensive, signing.

'The main ingredient that Minteh offers is pure excitement. Having sat regularly in The Kuip, you quickly see how Minteh is one of those rare players who instantly gets people on the edge of their seats. When the ball arrives at his feet, you sense a buzz around the crowd, an anticipation that something is about to happen. The pool of players who have such an effect is not a big one.'

Sounds exactly like watching Pickford receiving a back pass

Is your Gambian friend a successful, experienced football scout with a track record of spotting world-class talent, or a random football fan?
I think you can guess the answer to that...

Although to be fair he does immerse himself in football, is taking some scouting courses and, for what it's worth, he finished in the top 1000 in the world in fantasy football a couple of years ago.

I'm smashing him in our Euro 24 predictions league though, so that's a mark against him.

excellent! only watched the standard youtube compilations, so pinch of salt etc., but he looks a real livewire and someone who’s pace and ball-striking ability can really change games for us. right wing was a big issue, so great to have this sorted fairly early on. £33M is a lot for a 19 year old with one good season in the eredivise (our record fee if i’m correct?) so the club must be fairly convinced about him.

Big money for a 19 year old but Newcastle fans seem to rate him

Wonder if the sudden ‘go for it’ stems from seemingly losing out on KDH before the PSR deadline

Hmm. Not too sure about this one… he’s only had one good season in the Eridivisie, the league in which Jahanbakhsh was top scorer.

£33m for a player who Newcastle paid £6m for 12 months ago and never kicked a ball for seems a bit much!

plays on the opposite side of the pitch, so no
Spot on. We’ve been after a genuine left footed inverted right winger as back up to March for what seems like years! Like RDZ, Hürzeler seems to love an inverted winger.

But the fee……….I need to be convinced. He doesn’t look any better than Osman but I hope to be proved massively wrong.
