And here come Coldplay. Hope they have donated their fee to Text Santa. This really is shit!

Tonight is celebration night. The Talentless Karaoke Contest finishes and we've seen the last of Westshite too. Open the bubbly.

Thought that Coldplay were crap and would have liked a longer spot by Westlife although they werent that good tonight, as if they were fed up and cant wait to pack it in.

Anybody over 12 can't wait for them to pack it in.

This is indeed absolute garbage of the highest order. Boo hoo! every few seconds "We're doing this for ours mums!". Give me strength. Surely they can't keep bringing this tired format back year after year. At least in the past they had the odd act with genuine talent.

I agree wholeheartedly, however, Simon Cowell is a very slick operator and knows exactly which buttons to press regarding hype, artificial tension and emotional hyperbole. Also there is an increasing interaction between advertisers and participants past and present who get to perform on the show during the series. Surely a current judge " performing" their new song ( Cole, Rowland) in the middle of primetime shows a worrying conflict of interest or at least uneasy mutual backscratching ? This multiplies the income from advertising and spin offs.

I'm afraid, the whole machine will be ramped up again for the next few years, no problem.

Cowell can't even be arsed to front this shit anymore, he must be pissing himself laughing at the gullibility of the public. I don't begrudge the money he makes, but it is exploitation on a national scale.

More fool us.
