They want me as a soldier which I just can’t beDoes anybody know how long to WWIII?

Pathetic
Where is then? This country is not worth dying for.
Many people will not fight.
I’d have an axe to grind with any government whatever flavour if they make questionable decisions, and this decision in both timing, value of saving and the underlying perception it creates is questionable.Because the money can be better spent on the surface fleet that is in use at the moment than keeping two ships mothballed. Added to that both ships are over 20 years old and require a refit which was canceled. Then who is going to crew it and the question of how long it would take to run the ships up for active service. Once a ship is mothballed it’s very rare that they come out.
This isn’t about defence it’s about labour as your comments on pensioners, farmers etc. show exactly what you are about.
if you really want an axe to grind then pick on the previous government who put the two carriers in mothballs. get hold of George Osbourne and give him a good kicking because he ripped the heart out of the armed forces with his austerity cuts.
Your second to last statement says it allI’d have an axe to grind with any government whatever flavour if they make questionable decisions, and this decision in both timing, value of saving and the underlying perception it creates is questionable.
No one would have been happier than me if this new Government had created the chalk and cheese difference that long suffering electorate so desperately wants have binned off the last lot.
Starmer said outside No 10 that he wanted his administration to “tread lightly on people’s lives”. Notwithstanding, the revelations about Lord Alli, his administration are simply carrying on from the last.
I would wager that the vast majority of people support Ukraine in their struggle with Russia, but equally that support has a threshold, especially in taxpayers money and even more so when Ukraine get billions whilst pensioners are not getting winter fuel allowance. It’s idiotic politics.
It is worse then that though because the electorate can’t fathom the logic of continuing to lavish billions of taxpayers money on illegal migrants in hotels, with all the problems that causes and yet we are committed to higher taxes and less public service.
This is how the political backdrop of the confrontation with farmers and cutting defence capability will play out. It’s why the last lot got binned out, and why the fate of this lot is sealed if they ignore it.
Where is then?
