I've just spoken with the supervising planning officer at BHCC (M Anson) and the Falmer application (2008/02732) is scheduled for the next planning committee meeting on February 4th.
The detailed agenda etc will appear on the council's website from Thursday; planning committee meetings take place at Hove Town Hall, starting at 2pm - I think it's pay on the gate before anyone asks.

At bloody last.

Good ferreting Mr Oo Oo.

I'd put money on a deferred decision and a site visit by the committee though. That's exactly what happened with the Stanmer Park Access Road application - for one metre of widening FFS!
I can't see how a site visit would help make the decision. There's nothing to see. The Stanmer Park Access Road exists already. I guess a visit proved to the Committee that it's not wide enough.

Neither can I but I thought at the first Stanmer Park Access Road meeting that the councillors only voted for a visit purely because they felt they needed to be seen there, to have fully considered the implications :bla::bla::bla:

Lord B. Is this the application which, to the best of your knowledge, the planning officers are recommending approval?

Not sure. The drawings submitted to the City Council ought to tell you, but I'd have said about eight or nine feet.
Ok ta.Since it's below ground level is it more likely to freeze in winter months?

I like this bit, the whole scheme could rest upon eradicating the risk of getting your bike nicked...

7. The Stadium shall not be brought into use unless and until a scheme for
the integrated provision of suitable secure bicycle parking facilities has
been submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority
and the approved scheme has been fully implemented.

This and many of the other 50+ condititions proposed can also be found in the 2007 approval letter from the Secretary of State and that reads like something written by Tolstoy. I guess BHCC are just repeating them to ensure that there's no misunderstanding.
