The points aren't deducted immediately as they are probably lodging an appeal to the FL for extenuating curcumstances

Very true, although I bet half on ManUre fans haven't even heard of Wrexham let alone understand what they're going through

I don't understand how clubs like Leeds operate under huge debts but still buy players and are allowed to compete while the likes of Wrexham are f***ed by the League over a few hundred grand.

Leeds haven't been under any huge debt since the PLC went into administration in late Feb/March this year. The debt Leeds have operated under since then, while on the higher end of things, has been comparable to many other football clubs.

The news of Wrexham is sad :(

Wrexham are not being f***ed by the League over a few hundred grand. They are f***ed because they have debts of £2.6 million which they can't pay to their creditors, including the Inland revenue.

The administration rules are the same for all clubs in the Football League. If Leeds go into administration, they will also be docked 10 points.

On the Man Ure front, I know Wrexham aren't really his concern, but with his son a Wrexham player (at least I presume he still is) you'd think Sir Alex, as a high profile football figure, could lend some weight to aiding the club's plight if he hasn't already done so, even if it's just generating publicity for Wrexham.

f***ed cos Hamilton won't pay the IR the £900k.
He's dodged meetings with them repeatedly.
Another £600k of that debt is a loan from Alexander Hamilton.
:censored:
He's actually reduced the overall debt burden by paying off smaller local creditors whilst leaving the tax bill unpaid - a blatent attempt to get us liquidated.

Certainly, and the deduction of points is particularly harsh as other clubs have previously got away with going into administration without points deductions - including Leeds United if I'm not mistaken. But these new rules were voted for by the clubs and they kicked in at the start of the season.

Unfortunately for Wrexham, they are the first club to suffer the consequences in the Football League, although Northwich Victoria have already had 10 points deducted for going into administration in the Conference.

Personally, I can't understand the logic of the points deduction rule. But a majority of the FL clubs voted for it, so it must make sense somehow.

This is one of the reason.s Wrexham are in debt they spent massive amounts on Darren Ferguson!!, they got one friendly with man utd i believe through his connections and thought, high profile name (all be it relation) would reap dividends!!!
