It's plain and simple. Wrexham are in debt because Alex Hamilton, the major shareholder (who got involved ONLY because he wanted to asset strip the club), has refused to pay a bill owing to the Inland Revenue and has created new debts to companies owned by himself. He wants the Club to go out of business to enable the ultimate asset strip - building on a vacated ground - to be easier. From Hamilton's point of view, he would have preferred compulsory liquidation by the Courts. But his plan was successfully thwarted by a combination of his own stupidity and the quick action of two other directors (who have now achieved the administration that will at least allow the Club to keep playing).
My question to Wrexham fans is this. Now the Club is in administration, will this prevent Hamilton ever regaining control of the Club?
Good luck to Wrexham in their appeal. Presumably this will force the Football League to listen to the story of how this situation has come about. Up to now, they have simply taken the view that it is a "business matter" that is nothing to do with them.

The club definately went into admin at 11.56
The club has since been sold, the club, the land and everything.
how this affect us and admin noone knows yet but the club entered admin at a time stated by the judge.
Hamilton is expected to make an announcement this afternoon.
Noone knows yet if this is a good or bad move for wrexham fc and how it will affect us.
It is nothing to do with harris as far as i can understand.

Latest news from red-passion.com is that the Club and Ground have been sold to a Surrey-based company called UPA Ltd.
UPA and the Supporters' Trust are apparently issuing a joint statement on Monday.
From the UPA website:-
The U.P.A. Limited was formed in February 2003 to assist Plotowners across the UK in progressing planning applications for their sites.
For a joining fee of £23.50 (inc. VAT) and a plot registration of £41.13 (inc. VAT) per plot, you can be part of this. The formation of the organisation is bringing new impetus to self-build and key worker housing across the UK.Since its launch in February 2003, the UPA has inspected a number of sites throughout the country and is currently working through a number of sites that may be progressed for joint planning applications.
The UPA provide a unique service and adopt a most innovative approach to progressing planning applications. The UPA have invested the professional expertise and a great deal of research to formulate a template to provide affordable key worker housing at these sites. This provides an exceptional incentive and a great deal of benefit to the local community. By providing self-build potential the opportunity for affordable housing becomes available to the plot owners. Everyone assumes that when they see the word development it is bad.
The trust made plans a few months back to show Hamilton how the kop could be redeveloped. UPA may well have cottened onto this and are looking at re-developing the ground with the trusts help.
They can't do anything without the councils permission and the council have said they would go along with the trusts plans.

And it doesn't sound as yet as if they are working with WST, it's all speculation at the moment.
Suppose all will be revealed on Monday.
I think a few of us are jumping the gun on it!
It could be good news it could be bad but whatever I am sure we are prepared for it.
We are so used to bad news that it seems hard to believe any "good news" at the moment but we are battle hardened and ready for it all.
And it doesn't sound as yet as if they are working with WST, it's all speculation at the moment.
