Would you swear allegiance to the new king?
For me it's a big fat no, whether you're there or not.
This would suit the sycophants and royal pundits, that already ooze their indulgence :shootself

People watching the ceremony will be invited to say the words: "I swear that I will pay true allegiance to Your Majesty, and to your heirs and successors according to law - so help me God."

Didn’t you do that when you joined the RAF

When I served, Wrens didn’t come under martial law, so we didn’t have to. That changed under the Equalities Act in 1974.

It surprised me, that you asked the question.
For the record, my answer is no.

I was 17 and stupid, as you know its part of the course when one joins up.
I did have the privilege of seeing tax paywrs money wasted by certain members.
Even though I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the military, my views were certainly changed.

I know now, but I didn’t at 18, because Wrens didn’t have to, as I explained before.
We knew we were serving the Crown though.

Frankie Boyle's Farewell to the monarchy on Channel 4 last night was very good, certainly didn't pull any punches

I mean, whatever you think of the royals, that is full scale, barking mad nonsense.
This.

I don't mind many of them, others I don't like, but generally indifferent....

But to swear before God my allegiance to Charles and his family (which includes Andrew), is nuts.

They are out of touch with real people.
