I thought the narrative going around was that he was pretty much left with no choice once Potter left and Tony told him that he couldn't guarantee him a place in the new coaching set up.

If that's true, then I don't see a reason not to welcome him back.

If that's not the case, then f*** 'im.
I agree with your summing up!

As an Assistant.

If the new manager doesnt bring his posse of 7 assistants and we needed to bolster the back room, would you welcome him back?

Been sitting on the dole for the last 8 months (probably not literally) and wonder if he regrets his decision to leave?
Not quite.

He would have received a very nice payoff, but he works at Brighton college coaching ( where his son is at school)

Seen and chatted to him a few times on the seafront and he always seems very happy in his lot

Money wouldn’t be an issue for him to be frank!

Also RDZ brought his own team. Bruno would never have been wanted

Most managers will have their preferred choice of assistant manager and they’ll normally join with them. RDZ was slightly different in that he had a larger than normal support staff around him, although we did have quite a few vacancies to fill when Potter & Co f***ed off.

I’d imagine any new manager would be the same in having someone he knows and trusts as a number two, we’ve then got Crofty and Jack Stern to provide some continuity in knowing the squad inside out.

We’d need a couple of more coaches and if the new manager thinks Bruno could add value then I’m sure he’d be welcomed back by Tony but I can’t see us employing him just because he’s a former player and coach and needs a job. He’d have to be wanted by whoever takes over from RDZ.

If we are getting any type of coach in - in addition to the new manager's staff - it needs to be one that can bring expertise in set pieces.

We need to relieve Nick Stanley of his responsibilities first and tell him he can keep his play book because he won’t be taking any secrets with him.

You must know him quite well if he discusses his finances with you.

Really struggling with people’s inability to understand that Potter and Bruno are no different to White, MacAllister, Bissouma etc and totally entitled to make a decision that they feel, betters their career. There is no loyalty in football.
