Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Where I work we praise whoever to the stars at the time, but as soon as they leave the building everything is and was their fault.

So it's all bollocks.

Bruno was club employee, not a fan. He could leave for another job whenever he wished.

What error did he make?
He left a job for life potentially, close to his home and where if he’d stayed his adoration amongst Sussex people would have gone even higher. He was sacked / left a seemingly toxic culture at Chelsea after less than a year - I’d call that a mistake for his career and rep.

Disagree. No guarantee of a job here, a guaranteed job on much higher wages with his existing boss somewhere else. Completely logical decision at the time.
Exactly.
Have to admit I was gutted (more choked) at the time, in the cold light of day, he made the right decision for himself and his family.

Would any of us hand on heart really done anything different?

You lost me at 'job for life' :lolol:

And his 'career and rep' has suffered SO much, that he's now second in command at West Ham. Yeah, what a horrendous CLANGER he made...

Are you not able to debate people’s opinions without resulting to sarcasm and micky taking “? Try it, it’s healthy! I didn't say it was a clanger, I said it was a mistake in hindsight and many saw it as a mistake at the time - which it has been proved to be I feel.

Luckily the man himself said the complete opposite and how he was torn. I didn’t say it wasn’t potentially logical at the time - I said it was a mistake for him which I feel it has been. As a Brighton fan of course.

I assume you mean right decision financially for him and family. I tire of this argument, multi millionaire takes a job for a few more million - I'm sure it made a big difference to his lifestyle

There is actually a huge difference in wages between the manager and assistant I remember Stuart Pierce was chatting about it once.
You aren’t back on the big bucks until you are the main man. So people saying massive wages it isn’t exactly true.

I am impressed you know Bruno’s financial position, 😉 but what is fair to say he has done well throughout his career, in fact well enough, to donate ?10% of his earnings to charity. So your point is a fair assumption.

But people generally live to their means, and with the assistant wage significantly less we actually don’t know. However, from a mental health perspective perhaps having worked every day of his life from a young age, he simply wanted to continue rather than have a prolonged break. (Which he ended with anyway).

I don’t begrudge him at all, and to be honest the negative comments are all a bit disappointing.
