They were not unelected.Still Leave for the same reasons. We never again want our laws made by a bunch of unelected bureaucrats in Brussels.
Aren't EU bureaucrats elected by MEPs who are voted in by the sovereign citizens of the EU member states?Still Leave for the same reasons. We never again want our laws made by a bunch of unelected bureaucrats in Brussels.
How are 52% being disenfranchised?
The 'Leave' campaign littered with quotes and slogans indicating a "Deal" would be quick and easy, nothing about a minimum of 10 years, possibly 20. But that's the reality if - indeed - we ever get back to where we were before we left, which is doubtful. We've been out for three years so far - not long enough to judge Brexit a success or failure. It's a long term project so stick it out and your children / grand children will thank you for it later.
Giving a vote 7 years later doesn’t disenfranchise anyone. It’s quite the opposite, especially for the 5m+ people that have turned 18 in that time.If Starmer gives the vote to Euros and under 18s and the vote goes re-enter.
how could that possibly ,"make things worse"?There's yer problem in a nutshell.
Patronising and condescending jibes at Leavers questioning their ability to comprehend such matters makes things worse.
Comes down to a previous comment about folk not even trying to make this transition work, simply hoping for bumps in the road to allow for hand-wringing and 'I told you so'.
Pretty churlish.

44% of the electorate voted for a conservative government only 4 years ago. By your reasoning, the fact that we’re going to have a GE sometime next year disenfranchises them.
You lost FFS... Give it a rest, you'll get a chance to f*** the country soon enough.
I’m not quite sure what you’re getting at, but you do realise that if the vote was tomorrow remain/rejoin would win regardless of whether or not it was opened to 16-17 year olds as well.Mental gymnastics may provide you with some comfort, those shooting at you may not see it that way.
If it wont make any difference then why do it? Why now? Why not weight a generation? How many would that add to the electoral register? 6 million? extra 20%?
They were not unelected.
We had a veto.
The European Commission is like FIFA. We can’t vote for the President of either organisation. In a democracy the electorate can determine the next leader.Aren't EU bureaucrats elected by MEPs who are voted in by the sovereign citizens of the EU member states?
