NUFC might imagine themselves a big global brand, but no one really gives a shit about them outside of Newcastle.

100%. It’s the same with clubs like Leeds. They think they are massive because they have supporters all over the world, but those people are Geordies or people from Leeds who have moved abroad. You don’t go to Thailand or Vietnam and see a kid wearing a Newcastle or Leeds shirt, they are all wearing Man Utd / Liverpool / Arsenal shirts.

Fans of these big one club city teams think that because they are big, they are global. But they aren’t- their global supporters are ex-pats, and the number of them is purely down to the fact that they come from massive cities with big populations.
