Wouldn't be high on my list, but if TB and PBOBE have done their homework (which I'm bloody sure they will have!) and they think he's the right bloke at the right time, fair enough, I'd get used to it. Given a binary choice, though, between him and the return of Potter to carry on where he left off after the Leicester match, I know which way I'd vote!

Assuming we can't get Klopp or Pep .............................................

Can someone explain the relevence of this post ? Anyone answering has a short memory re him and especially his sidekick the "Suntan Kid" got two of our players sent off when he was at Burnley........the same game where Joey Barton got away with a blatant stamp !!

Not a big fan of EH but I am sure that he will, over the next 5-10yrs get a few jobs based on a pretty good record in PL, a Mark Hughes/ Sean Dyche type appointment, steady but unspectacular, the proverbial ‘pair of safe hands’. I don’t like him because he is not particularly personable, never a good word for the opposition and always plays hard done by.

Obviously, no, I would hate to have EH here.

But you’re confusing your Burnley debacles. The two-red-card game was in 2011. Barton’s stamp was six years later, and Dyche supported him after the game.

Sussex but not by the sea
No, thank you. As much him but also because he’d bring that twat of an assistant with him.
His style of football is low block, counter and cheat, it’s what kept Newcastle up, then when he’s expected to be more attacking his system shows cracks. Media banging on about him ‘overachieving’ getting Newcastle into the CL, they spent a fortune on the likes of Isak, Trippier, that Bruno bloke, and others. He wouldn’t get anything like that kind of transfer budget here.
I also think he probably knows that we don’t like him.

I think he'd be a solid appointment but my concern would be his how he has historically dealt with the low periods, he seems to get stuck in ruts of poor form. Must be something in his character where he struggles to motivate his teams in times of adversity.
