Would you swap MA for MM?

After listening to the SCR commentary on Weds night, MA has definately got an affinity with us as a club. I didn't hear the part about becoming director of football, but you could almost sense him wanting to say US when he spoke about the team.

Who would swap MM for MA now?

Would you want him back in the future when MM moves on?

Does it end always end in tears second time round?

From what I've been told, MA & DK got on very well, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him back at some time, but this is now MM's team and not MA's. I wouldn't swap MM at present, but I would welcome MA back as either manager or director of football when we get Falmer built.

I get the impression he cares more for us as a club than Leicester.

Top bloke.

No way he has moved on and so have we.

Apart from MA expressing what sounded like a genuine interest in a future involvement in the Club, the other thing that came across from the SCR commentary was the respect that MA has for MM. They manage teams differently. But no way was MA suggesting that MM didn't know what he is doing or that he wanted to displace him.

With a completely blank sheet of paper, no baggage, and a straight swap, I would. Adams is the best manager we've had since Mullery first time round.

But that isn't the case, McGhee has done fine and deserves a chance to finish whatever it is he's started.

Agreed - MM has started something that he deserves to finish.

MA has already established himself as Albion legend. When MM leaves us (as European Champions) to manage Real Madrid in the 2nd div la liga, MA would be the natural choice.......but MM will continue until that point.

Mickey Adams is a better Manager now than he was with us.

He also sounded better than he did before, although the circumstances were different as he was just watching the game.

From the radio, it seems that he still rates Bob Booker.

Shouldn't go swapping horses midstream and all that. MM is the man and I don't want to see anyone else come in for a while yet.

No way. No disrespect to MA, but MM is doing a superb job for us. As I said yesterday, he could prove to be the best of the lot - the potential is there.

NO WAY!! MM is doing fantastic and becoming the next Albion legend!

MA should move on and up, "Don't go back!"

MA will alwys be a legend at BHA so leave it at that!!

''In every season, turn turn turn......
....and a time for every purpose, under heaven''
Thus quoth The Byrds in 1966, and it rings true for this thread imho.

The fates and history that guide BHAFC true, are intertwined with the maturing and experiences of players and managers and all the staff. There has been a time and place for Mickey Adams, and respects and regards are mutual and of the highest.

MA left Brighton, for what he hoped for himself as a professional.
That's fair enough, and he certainly wished the best for us, as he still does. However, his tenure is passed as Albion manager, and he's embossed in our history as a great. Now, we find a new potential Albion Legend at the helm - MM.
It's his time. He's hardly put a foot wrong in his intentions, and deserves the best from his team - and the fans.
Seagull fans are bloody fickle, bouncing from ''MM out'' to ''legend'' depending on the last result. I suppose it won't matter as long as the collective season sees us achieve the modest success we only aspired to in August - which is survival in a division we didn't expect to reach anyway! We basically all agreed we'd be happy to end 4th from bottom.

It's all 'gravy' this season - let's just enjoy it and give MM and the players credit. The race is the prize, and with all the fortunes (and 'slings and arrows') that will chequer all the games, months, and the season - encourage and be along for the big picture that is Brighton and Hove Albion.

If it ain't broke...

At the moment I wouldn't swap McGhee for Jose Mourinho, never mind Micky Adams. He's got us playing an effective style of football that suits the players we have. He's made some fairly shrewd signings and isn't afraid to put the fortunes of the team ahead of individual player's egos (particularly Mr Knight).

At some point in the future, when McGhee moves on, I wouldn't object to having Adams back again, but there would be a greater expectation on his shoulders because of the miracles he worked at the club the first time round.

Though I rate MA vey highly and like others the guy is and well always have a hero status in my eyes, I think it would be very unfair, on MM to oust him for MA. When MM come here he know he had little or no money, he knew that he would have to work with the players that we had.

He took the job and as set about building a young team, that at the moment is holding its own in The Championship. When the team comes to its full potental in a few years we will have a very strong side.

I feel that given time, and when we finally get Falmer a little money, MM will be able to guide this team back to the top flight of English football. This will not happen over night, and he MM knows that, but the things he is doing now is build the foundations for that.

MA is a Legend
MM is a Legend in the making

I think that MM is the best manager we have had had, better than MA.

However, MA has raised his standards since he left us.

MM is the kinda of manager I like. I wish he would make his tactical boobs at away matches rather than home ones though, and I cannot understand him playing Nicolas and no wingers. And I think Gary Hart could still have a part to play in the 15.

Chis Cattlin, the last good manager was prone to tactical boobs as well. Winning at Newcastle and then losing at home to Southampton.
