Where else would I get the phone number of my local Russian escort (who is waiting for me exclusively)!

no from me. sites with a few ads a little bother and those with lots i avoid. i actually find ads can be useful, let me know that a company is doing deals or that a company exists in a space I'm interested in.

may main objection to going ad free is the hassles of sign in, no real working micro-payment system. must say this Google scheme might be winner there.

If I knew how to block the adds I would but a bigger worry is that somebody like me puts complete trust in the adds on NSC but experience has shown I shouldnt

Most ads can be blocked by making adobe ask for permission to run on a page. Nope, as others have said.

I subscribe to an ad-free version of a news site. It gives you bonus conduct (hotlines, message board, some occasional exclusive news stories), and I feel that it is worth it, so I'm not opposed to paying for an ad-free site.

But the ad-free site is a different design and removes the space for the adds, I would find the 'you have supported' things as or more annoying than the adverts themselves.

I don't know that I'd ever pay just for a message board (even one with a few proper writing articles), when the ads are as unobtrusive as they are here when signed in (and when at work I only browse so don't sign in - if I signed in I would spend too much time responding to everything)

You're kidding me. The ad I get for mature old slappers in my area is the best thing about NSC.

NSC wouldnt be the same for me if each page didnt have those ropey looking skanks from Russia basically prostituting themselves. Funny how the prudes at google allow that but i cant say w*nk or f*ck?!

I seem to get a LOT of ads for Muslima - muslim singles in my area. I can imagine some on here going nuts seeing that!!

I'd be chuffed to see the ropey Russian skanks one mind.

Funniest one I've seen was an advert for sheds reading El pres"s thread on curling one off in his outhouse. Made my day that one.

I would forever be trying to work out what the pixelated ads were for.

I've used an adblocker for so long now, that if I disable it, the amount of ads Everywhere on the internet that I don't usually see, is quite a shock to the system. They Are Everywhere.

As long as there are ads, there will be adblockers. I don't see how Google will make money out of this, unless the number of people who don't use adblockers is unbelievably vastly lower than one might imagine.
