It's grim oop north
100%

But needs to be an actual movement of the majority of singers congregating in the South

Ideally something the club could help facilitate.

There are obviously pockets of singers in the west, a few in the east and lots in the north so it would need everyone to want to do this for it to work and not be like the ash-army at arsenal of 20 singers

At the moment no, had our Family Stand East Lower seat since day one and will stay there till ejected when he turns 18 in a couple of years.

However, we will then be looking for a new home, assumed it’d be the North but will go anywhere if there’s singing.

Love my N1H spot.. Not fully in the 'eye of the storm', but enough to be part of the great noise when we all pick it up.
Until they chuck me out, or knees give way, i'm staying and the 'batton of exuberance and noise' can be carried by the next gen of youth into South stand.

Makes me smile that we have a poll to see how many (mostly over 50s!) would move to a singing section 😂. Imagine if we’d asked that in the 70s and 80s when that age group, at best would have stood on the extreme edges of the north stand. The Chicken Run was the place to be for working class over 50s

Do singing sections actually work?

Will there be a questionnaire about 1) Your volume levels and 2) The quality?

Also, if you get in such a section and have a hoarse throat one week, will you be displaced to a quieter zone?

The SW corner is my favourite part of the ground, it’s a great mixture in there of singers, swearers and opposition goaders (with some more gentle folk mixed in as well). Brilliant view too. I think being next to the away fans suits my type of support.

There doesn't really need to be a high percentage of people saying yes to this, there just needs to be a reasonable chunk. It would be ridiculous to expect the majority to want to move, in any case at any club, all we need is a couple thousand out of 30k to want to.

It would have to be very coordinated... but I'd consider it if it felt as though enough fans were moving there to make a meaningful change to there atmosphere.

If, if this works it'll be brilliant so hope the right people move. I just worry that the worst part of the matchday experience - sitting near vocal away support in south end of West Upper - will be magnified. Will really need a unified response so we don't have the same competing factions as the North, maybe one of those could move?

Do we need to pass an audition first?

Before we moved over here we did an occasional games in the SW corner. So much fun up against away fans, more songs, more laughs, more intense. If still in the UK I would be there like a shot. Just needs sensible stewarding without utterly ridiculous PB levels of politeness being expected.
