For all the married fella's on NSC.......

Given the choice again would you have married your current spouse?

If anything happened to them would you re marry or stay single?

Just a stab in the dark from a young singleton, but:

I'm guessing most will say definitely yes to the first question and will be unsure about the second, only remarrying if someone really special came along and relit their fire, so to speak.

Sounds corny and cliched, but my wedding day was amazing and was one of the happiest days of my life. Been married for 12 years now and although we've been through some tough times and rocky periods together, I still love her and have 2 beautiful kids with her.

I think its very hard to stay with the same person for 20 years + these days and well done to anyone that has!

Having said that like the posts above I wish I had met my new partner of 10 years before I'd set eyes on #1

On first wife and love her to bits. But I wouldn't marry again if something unfortunately happened to her. Why? Don't really know, but I wouldn't.

Current partner, definitely yes. First wife, no. No animosity towards her, just turns out we wanted different things. She desperately wanted children and I didn't. Probably should have discussed something like that before we got married I guess!

Quite ironic then that I ended up with a woman with an 8 year old

Been married to HovaBoy for 35 years and I would marry him again. He says the same of me. Can't believe how we found each other, with all those fish in the sea. If anything happened, would I marry again? Don't know, but my Mum has lived a very lonely 30 years after her divorce from my Dad, so I probably would marry again, but it would doubtless be a very different kind of marriage.
