If he does it will be for the money. I am convinced that if every club in the Premier league had equal funds available we would be the best Job in the league.
Yes yes, but have you considered the fact that our beloved RDZ IS absolutely mental?Stunned that so many people have voted no. Chelsea, I get. But this is Man Utd, the only bigger club in world football is Real Madrid. If you get offered that job, you take it. You don’t say ‘I don’t think the owners are right for me, I’ll wait until I get asked again in a few years time’. Succeed at Man Utd and literally any job in world football is yours if you want it. And he would succeed there.
He’d be absolutely mental not to take it, if it were offered.
We'll have to see wont we, I'm not Swansman so I'm not about to trawl through the internet to cherry-pick all the honourable things Potter has done in his career to argue the point, you maybe right, but I wouldn't be putting RDZ on a pedestal just yet.Because of the way RDZ talks. He always going on about loyalty. And he stayed in Ukraine until bombs started coming down. Completely different character to spineless potty.
I would love to know your thinking behind that Potter to Man UtdIt’s irrelevant as they won’t sack ETH at this point, and as others have stated, he has a contract which states that he can’t leave during the season.
I actually think that Potter would be a good fit for United.
Agree that's why I have him as 50/50. I do think RDZ has a clever marketing team behind him. The semi cringe soundbites about teams taking our players but not our soul and that 'leaked' voice note, cases in point. We'll have to see wont we, I'm not Swansman so I'm not about to trawl through the internet to cherry-pick all the honourable things Potter has done in his career to argue the point, you maybe right, but I wouldn't be putting RDZ on a pedestal just yet.
Yer that's fair, in the context of that decision he wasn't spineless. But I didn't like the disrespect potter had for the fans when he was here. And the nasty comments about us being an 'easy' club to manage afterwards. But tbf that didn't paint him as spinless either. More like a gut feeling that he's a weak man.In all seriousness, you think leaving Albion for a pay rise running into millions and the chance to manage a team that expects to challenge in the Champions League makes him "spineless"?
I think you're misreading the room if you think that's the widely held view. Most people's gripe with Potter is the way he ransacked half the backroom team (beyond his own people). I can't really accuse him of being spineless, there's no evidence of that.
I wouldn't disagree with any of that. His comments on being an easy club to manage and needing a history lesson stuck in the craw based on the fact our fan base was ridiculously patient with him during a run of 2 home league wins in a 11 months as it was at one point.Yer that's fair, in the context of that decision he wasn't spineless. Saying all that, if RDZ left tomorrow , potty boy would be one of the faves for the Albion job.
USED to be one of the only clubs in world football, many more bigger and better these days.Stunned that so many people have voted no. Chelsea, I get. Pretty one-dimensional view imho. There are so many reasons not to go there and Barcelona are bigger than Man U, Bayern are as big a club. Players have turned them down because they were wanting London clubs. Not everyone views Man U as a gig ‘you’d be stupid to turn down’Stunned that so many people have voted no. Chelsea, I get. Yer that's a good shout. Emery is one of the best in the world at the moment, and has soundly beaten RDZ a few times now. As much as we love RDZ , emery is a better manager as it stands.I think I would be more worried about losing my manager if I was a Villa fan, to be honest. Doing just as well and has won in Europe.
£10m a year might influence your decisionUSED to be one of the only clubs in world football, many more bigger and better these days.
Toxic with a falling apart stadium and horrid entitled players, yes I would take it on in a heartbeat.
Why no chance ? If he keeps getting soundly beaten, he's gone ! Sooner rather than later.Football fans love to squabble about hypothetical situations for which no detail is available. There is no chance of ETH leaving ManU in the near future so this is a pointless question and a pointless discussion.
