would 0-1 be better for us that 1-0 after the first leg ?

Is losing to Palace better than winning?

would 0-1 be better for us that 1-0 after the first leg ?

knowing that the nerves will be high, would it then force us to play the attaching football we are better at rather than trying to sit on a 1 goal lead for 95 mins ??

Would being a goal BEHIND, be better than being a goal AHEAD?

Ummm.

No, no it wouldn't.

We play miles, miles better when we are in control of a game, generally.

So no, no it wouldn't.

Over there
That's another vote for 1-0 us.
I can see your point, but they'd have to attack us at the Amex and that would totally suit us, we seem to fair less well against teams who just what to roll up and park the bus.

ees complicated no?

Some people on here really are stupid!!!!!!!

Are you seriously saying going into the 2nd game a goal down is much better than going into it winning

Edit: In future league games let score an own goal right from the kick off that way we'll play better in the rest!!!!!

I'm guessing it's too much to ask for a bit of the Bayern Munich treatment? Steamroller them in the first leg so the second is just one big party.

No, you're right. It IS too much.

no! we need palace to attack us more at the Amex so we can rip them apart.

if they have a lead we may find it difficult to break them down. as we do when teams sit back.

i can see what you're trying to say though.

I do actually understand what you mean.

But no.

Playing exactly the same game as we would anyway, but being 2 goals better off is clearly a better position to be in.

The only upside I can see is that I'll probably be a lot calmer over the weekend if we're 1-0 down than 1-0 up. At 1-0 up I'll be doing cartwheels, unable to convince myself that we haven't already won it.

A one goal advantage or a draw after the 1st leg. Attack is the best form of defence.

We need to come out of Selhurst with a draw or better so im with the minority in the NO camp

A slim minority.

Because this discussion is SO close, and a concensus is hard to judge, I've helpfully added a POLL. :jester:

It would be best to LOSE to Palace on Friday.

It might be better to WIN against Palace on Friday.

Really? your choice of words are weird.

To be fair to the OP, whilst the THREAD is straight from his warped mind, it was ME who added the POLL options.
