Spot on analysis. Despite this incident I still take certain drugs on a recreational basis, but I am nowhere near addicted. Some of the older generation like to tarnish everyone with the same brush, but the fact is I am a relatively respectable individual with a decent job and standup values - much the same as 95% of chaps and chappettes that like a bit of the white stuff at the weekend.

The notion that everyone who takes drugs is a useless addict is as draconian as racism.

Personally I dont give a fig if every drug taker on here ends up dead or brain damaged. The chances are high, as 20,000 people die every year from illegal drug abuse. That's nearly an Amex full.

The chances are not high. They are minuscule compared to alcohol related deaths and many drugs are relatively harmless if used responsibly. You come across as an idiot by tarnishing all drug users with the same brush.

When you say youth worker you clearly mean you just helped out with an evening soccer class or something? I find it hard to believe that someone with such a narrow and black and white mind could actually be employed and have professional qualifications to councel young people?

Thank you for dismissing my qualification with a few keyboard strokes. No, I didn't help out with an evening soccer class. I worked at a council run youth club for two evenings a week on a tough council estate.

At Glasto a few years back I'd got back to the tent at about 5am after being at arcadia, so by this point it was light. My girlfriend at the time was already in the tent asleep so I just went to bed as usual. At some point I opened my eyes and could see the silhouette of a hand on the wall of the tent. Quite frightened and without moving I woke my bird up and whispered "I think someones trying to get into the tent, I can see their hand" only to get the reply "no that's your hand you f*cking idiot". I'd just fallen asleep in a funny position.

Taking illegal drugs is one thing, but coming on here boasting about your experiences is another. There are a lot of impressionable kids on NSC who could now be thinking that the whole drug scene is socially acceptable.

For me this is worse than posting porn, but I doubt any moderators will have the savvy to see it that way.

Anyone who has been personally effected by drug use is not going to joke about it in the manner some have in this thread

It will only be when they lose a loved one for example because of it they may think twice, I guarantee it wont be amusing then, illegal drugs or not.
