There was a game under Mullery against Millwall where we were 2-0 down at half time, the players went off and came straight back out as Mullery was so pissed off with them. Won that game 4-2.
3-2 , 1977, wasn’t the first game I went to but was the one that got me hooked.

I know we never won but weren't we 3-0 down away at sheffield united to then go 4-3 up then lose 5-4!
Is that how it went?

Wycombe away, the game where Muzza scored 4 (or was it 3?).
We were trash first half and then we had a stunning second half.

I think with fans in the stadium and how good Spurs were first half, today was better.
There were fans in the stadium for the Citeh come back. I was one of them.

But yesterday was better - against 11 men.

Ward 4 Mellor 3
I was a student in London a the time. Bought a late copy of the Standard on the way home and it reported the (half time) score.

Imagine my surprise the next day

Twat on radio 5 just said it is the first time we have ever come back from two down to win.

He needs a (recent) history lesson.

I seem to remember there was quite a bit of booing at half time too. It was probably the grandfathers of those that booed after the Leeds 0-0 under Potter :lolol:

Well was it? can't remember such a ying/yang of a game and performance.
It dont remember a contrast like it.

3-2 v Man City the contrast wasnt like this, we did OK against them, they got 2 good goals and they also went down to 10 men which helped our come back. But whole game was competitive.

As I mentioned on other thread, the utter dominance of them and our defensively all at sea of us first half was totally role reversed in second. Total contrast in each half.

It felt like the players had swapped shirts. Hard to believe it was same 2 teams.

We were shit first half they were magnificent.

We were magnificent second half they were shit.
