A friday night drenching at home to Rochdale at the Withers we lost 3-4 and like a lot of you have already said 5-0 loss to the scum was a torrid time.
I think the 5-1 at home to stoke, awful game, only time I've left a game early at 5-0 and apparently Doug loft scored a cracker!
Worst performance I think ive seen was Norwich away couple of years back when they went up. We were awful, didn't deserve the one we scored and I wish I hadn't booked into some crummy hotel for the night, just wanted to go home!

Kingstonian in the FA Cup circa 1995 - defeat and some heavy-handed policing at the end as a section of our travelling support decided to dismantle one side of the ground.

FA Cup Final Replay v Man Utd - so gutted, then had to endure a coach load of Manc's alongside us in the car park all 'mooning' at us.
Play Off Final v Notts County - such high hopes dashed by Tommy Johnson. Couldn't bear him after that.
Kingstonian away FA Cup - just embarrassingly bad!
0 - 5 away at Palace - first league game there for so many years and my first visit there for a Brighton match. 5,000 Albion really up for it and we were totally done by Andeeeee Johnnnnnsonnnnn!!!! as the tannoy announcer shouted seemingly every 5 mins when he scored. Never leave early but that was too much to take...but police in riot gear were blocking us in. Managed to sneak out during a push as so many of us were trying to escape the torture.
The 3 - 4 home loss at Withdean to Rochdale. Evil wet weather, freezing, complete rubbish.
All the above and many more are why now is such a happy place to be!!!!

I went to the 5-0 game, but in reality was not expecting much.
With our lack of funds, and just a prayer for survival every season, it was not as awful as it might feel for some of you.
I think there were worse in the 70's, and recent times when we might have wondered if we'd ever see a home ground and a league club playing in it.
Full credit to those who went to Gillingham to watch our lads lose - those trips back must have been really dire sometimes.
The ONLY time I almost left early in horror at our abject performance was half-time vs Walsall (0-0), and that ended just slightly in our favour! (7-0)

That was not pretty
My worst game was wolves at home at the goldstone in the late eighties. I think we lost 6-0, we left when it was 4-0 and heard the others go in on the way across hove park. Steve bull scored most if them.
I was pretty disappointed at the play-off final against Notts County, we were rubbish

Yeah - I remember being in the car park before the gamne when Gerry Ryan (who was asst manager at the time) came ruiing out of the ground and got on the team coach. We wondered what the hell was going on - the writing was on the wall when he came sprinting back to the changing room with a Racing Post under his arm.

This following sticks in my mind...
Norwich Away - FA Cup 4th round. sometime around 6 yrs ago
Over 4 hours to Norwich on a freezing cold day.
Ate Burger and drunk beer
Walked to ground in the beginnings of a snow storm
Stood in the ground (generally freezing) for a hour during which time the floodlights broke and the game was called off (@3.30)
Drove home, another 4 hours.
Got in and had no TV signal and thus no MOTD.
The highlight was the quiz book game we played in the car during the drive up.

Grimsby away needing a result to stay up one season was a poor excuse for a day out. We were shit, didn't win the game, and the result was immaterial anyway as the Stoke (?) score went against us. Grimsby is a bad enough place anyway without being relegated
Also recall a dreadful midweek defeat at Yeovil, got stuck in a huge motorway jam en route and didn't arrive at the ground until twenty five minutes into the first half, by which point (as gleefully informed by BBC Radio Bristol) we were already losing. The turnstile staff made us walk all the way to the other end of the stadium to buy a ticket, just to come all the way back round again, and they still insisted on full price despite the fact a third of the game had already gone. We lost, needless to say, and it was the usual tinpot organisation in the car park that meant it took about 45 minutes to get away from the ground afterwards.
Palace 5-0 goes without saying, Stoke 1-5 at home was probably the most insulting performances I've ever seen from an Albion team (I'm well used to incompetence but the least I expect is effort). Losing 4-0 to Darlington in front of about 2,500 hardy souls at the Pissfield also takes some beating.
Oh, and I went to the 7-0 spanking at Huddersfield a couple of seasons ago, but to be honest, that was just comedy compared to most of those games above. It went way past frustration to the point where you just had to laugh. I recall Mendoza and I blocking the exits and telling people trying to leave with half an hour left that if we were staying, then everyone was

I was there. Wasn't too bothered as they were a far bigger club, their players were on fire at the time ... Howson, Snodgrass, Beckford, Becchio (playing?) etc were just too good. Didn't expect anything out of that particular game.

I bumped into someone I knew from Brighton who I hadn't seen for ages. He'd gone up to Manchester and was working as an accountancy lecturer although he really wanted to big in the porn industry. Wondered whatever happened to him ...
Can't see that as one of the worst; for a start, Chester's a pleasant enough place.
Mine has to be that Darlo defeat at Priestfield. I can almost accept the Palace and Leeds thrashings as they were clearly better teams than us but Darlo were piss-poor, Gabbiadini was a donkey and they still won 4-0 - and weren't flattered by the score. I think that was the most miserable I'd ever been at an Albion game - it just seemed a matter of time before we were in the Conference.

Oldham away in 1990 -
Five to six hour train journey with delays - Got to Boundary Park with about two minutes to kick off - dived into the the same turnstile that I used for the last visit to BP. banged me money down on the turnstile - rand onto the terrrace as teams prepared to kick off and thought "Christ, we 've brought about 3,000!" Everyone around me sporting blue and white so I felt safe enough. Found a spot to watch the game, only to realise that we must have filled the terrace behind the goal where I was standing as they had obviously opened an overflow pen on the side for even more BHA fans to occupy.
As the pink clad heroes started the game, it became acuiley obvious that this was in fac full of Oldham fans as no one was slagging off Robert Codner. all were speaking in board Lancashire accents and wearing hats bearing the legend - Wembley 1990.
Ah , now what to do - try and look in cospicupus - - make sure I am not weaing anything that visibyi identifies me to BHA - keep me mouth shut but how to celebrate the away win that would invariably result from such a cock up.
So when we were 6-0 down and Wilkins scored with a rather fine free kck (a la Ipswich) my celebration was rather muted.
