I cant think of the name of the road but there is a street in Peurto Del Carmen Lanzarotte that goes from the main seas road up that is very steep.
Nice of the council to make The Drove downhill only.
Baldwin Street in Dunedin, Otago has called itself the steepest street in the world for a while; can't speak to the veracity of that claim, but it's certainly a schlepp. A couple of roads heading out the back of Akaroa to the hills of the Banks Peninsula felt steeper
'The Drove' by 'Tammy's Fish and Chips' off just Dyke Road is ridiculously steep. Lots of fun doing down the hill, not so much walking or cycling up it!

Coombe Rise in Saltdean is a bitch to walk up. https://www.google.com/maps/@50.810...4!1s2Y6do8JH1JDQTFV2M_8qZg!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

Vale Street in Totterdown, Bristol is supposed to be the steepest in England.
The cars are parked sideways, not sure the handbrake would hold otherwise.
Makes it easier for cyclists as they don’t have to cycle up it now.
Saltdean does have a few steep roads, Founthill Avenue and Oaklands Avenue at the Greenbank Av end.
Where's local resident Hove Born & Bred when you need him?
I've ridden up that hill in Harlech a few times and it's pretty grim, but nothing out of the ordinary in North Wales. Definitely tougher than anything I've cycled up in Brighton though. Isn't the hill in dunedin concrete cos the tarmac wouldn't stay put?! Went there about 25 years ago, thankfully without a bike.
