OK, I missed the entire afternoon session so, here are the highlights.
Trumper tries to get after Underwood but mistimes it and is caught and bowled for 33 - Australia 58-1
Bradman hits his first three balls for four
Hayden brings up his 50 with a sweep off Underwood. Next ball, he tries the shot again and is adjudged LBW. He reviews and the ball is seen to be clipping leg stump so, Umpire's Call, 108 -2
Bradman goes past the England score with a three off Stokes
Bradman and Ponting see us to tea with little difficulty - Ponting plays and misses a couple but Bradman is in good nick.
Tea score 151-2 48 overs Bradman 48 Ponting 17
Two for Underwood eh? On a second Day Pitch. That should make the Fourth Innings interesting...
Don't know who I want out more, Bradman or Punter. Well I do really and it will probably involve a bit of rough stuff from Larwood as back in the day..
We're starting after tea with Botham bowling from the Pavilion end to Bradman, that's short and pulled away for four - that's Bradman's 50. He flicks it away for a single and Ponting cover drives for four too.
At the Birmingham end, Anderson is bowling. He's much tighter and Bradman can only score a single off the over
It's a bit of buffet bowling from Botham at the moment, there's nothing in the pitch and the ball's not swinging so he's trying some cutters but it's not quite working for him as Bradman drives for three and Ponting helps himself to four more.
That's a bit better from Botham, he digs one in and it raps Ponting on the knuckles - he shakes his hand in some discomfort. He gets a single next ball though and Bradman angles the ball to third man for another
Finally, Jimmy bowls a loose one and Bradman cracks it around the corner for another boundary but Bradman gets nothing from the rest of the over
Australa Australia 173-2 Bradman 58 Ponting 28 overs 54
Time of a change and it's Larwood coming on from the Pavilion End.
The first ball is an attempted yorker and Bradman turns it into a half-volley and drives straight past the bowler for four. The next delivery is sharper still and Bradman tries to flick it away, he doesn't time it and the ball sails in the air and bounces just in front of Anderson at long leg, they run a single.
Oh, that's even sharper, it rises off a length and strikes Ponting a glancing blow on the cheek. He looks a bit shaken and I can see some blood - how did that get past the visor. The physio is on
Smith gets off the mark straight away with a trademark push to mid-wicket but Larwood is building up some speed now and has hit Ponting again - on the chest this time. The umpire's having a gentle word but this is not over-doing it - the crowd is loving this though and there's a full-throated roar as Larwood comes in. It's short again and Ponting's not behind it and can only glove it to Prior
The fielders go wild, the crowd goes wild and Ponting goes off holding his hand - he's not had a happy time out there
Anderson has been replaced by Underwood and Smith scores a single straight away. And Chappell's not hanging around, he cover drives for four to bring up the 200
Larwood caused Smith some problems in the first innings but he seems to be playing him better this time around. He flicks him down to fine leg for four and pushes into the covers for two.
Underwood has settled into a good line and length and Chappell just gets a single off the over
After the excitement of the last couple of overs, things have calmed down. The batsmen, Chappell in particular, are playing Larwood well - although the odd ball gets by. Underwood isn't doing too much with the ball but is naggingly accurate.
Australia have got the lead past 100 but England will be confident of chasing anything under 200 on this pitch
It's still Larwood but he may be tiring now, Smith drives him wide of mid-on for four and than runs a single to long leg, Chappell drives him through the covers for another four and then a two past mid-off.
Underwood slips up there and Smith sweeps him for four but can't score off the rest of the over.
Stokes is on for Larwood and that's a decent ball, it catches the edge of Chappell's bat and flies down to third man for four. There's only one slip in place and that went just past Hammond's hand, a second slip would have caught it.
Cook has now moved there but it looks a bit stable door-like
Chappell smoothly flicks the ball to square leg for one and Smith jabs the ball down to third man for another single.
Underwood is still bang on the money and Smith plays out a maiden
