I'm not detecting any facetiousness in that comment...well done Qatar you put on a sensational show

There were people here during this WC who said they didn’t get the Messi thing and loathed commentators/pundits in a Messi wankfest.I’m not sure anyone is anti Messi except Cristiano Ronaldo superfans - and this is hardly the forum for that.
What is/was annoying was when, for example, they lost to Saudi Arabia and he played a five yard pass in his own half and the commentators raved for ages about him.
Ah, but did you know that West Ham once won the World Cup?
In that case I'd like to hope that the Falkland islanders would willingly accept their new rulers so that you don't have to confront Smugness every day. No one should have to come up against French smugness on a regular basis. And i stand by it, Falklands mean nothing to me, and I know many many French people who I would have to deal with the smugness on a daily basis

Get over yourself, it was f***ing hyperbole. In that case I'd like to hope that the Falkland islanders would willingly accept their new rulers so that you don't have to confront Smugness every day. No one should have to come up against French smugness on a regular basis.
I hope that one day French Smugness is recognised for what it is, and, tackled head on. Until then, sadly, you are fighting a battle for your cause to be recognised. I hope you find peace. God speed.

I'd refuse that shitWhy have they dressed him up as Lionel of Arabia?
I think Qatar pay his PSG wages so that was effectively his boss telling him to put a costume on. Humiliating but I can see why he agreed.I'd refuse that shit
Claudio Tapia... President of Argentina FA.Forgive my ignorance. Who is the bloke on the podium next to Macron?
Obviously Argentinian. He's doing bloody well holding it all together as he's in pieces.
