If it makes the stand look that shit and stops another 1000 seats being installed yes I am. That and the fact it could be a safety hazard if there's a fire. They gunna use the lift are they? Or a big ramp?...

I'd prefer to look at a decent upper tier. One which doesn't look like it has 2 portakabins on each end from a distance.

I would suggest, you are digging a bloody big hole for yourself, why not wait till its finished and full of fans before slagging off the design, as assumed by an internet drawing

Bizarre. Let's get this straight.

You would look rather look at some empty seats than a disabled platform because it upsets your view ?

I say empty because (of course) with the area full you won't see what's behind.

We are struggling to understand. Does a raised disabled platform embarrass you ?

It`s only half a stand ffs it looks incomplete which it is,ridiculous too much of the stadium is being used as office space and airport lounge style cafes.:albion2::albion2:

But its a drawing, an architects impression, a web designers vision, lets see what the finished article looks like when it is full up.
If you are so upset with it, get a seat in the East, you wont have to look at it then.

More seats inside then... ?

If it's a raised disabled area, I'm very very proud to a fan of this club. Absolutely superb.

They will have the choice of a view as good as mine. Not tucked away in an unfinished corner, not forced pitch side.

It will be the part of the stadium I will point out to everyone. Something we should be very very proud of.

( sorry if it upsets your view )

I don`t look at the stands or the rafters i watch the game, but if more consideration had been given to supporters of the club who just want to watch a game of football, it could easily have been designed to take 40,000 within the current structure

40,000 able bodied obviously.
If you dont look at the stands or rafters, why are you so upset about the assumed look, in your opinion, of the Upper East.
Priceless

the emirates - Google Search
This is what the inside of a football stadium should look like wall to wall seats for the supporters, not wall cladding and windows ffs.If i was Tony i would not be happy with the finished design. The lack of seating is going to cost the club millions over the years, the ground should have been designed to maximise capacity not office space and cafes

What on God's earth are you talking about. The stadium isn't FINISHED. We struggled to get the original capacity due to planning restrictions.

Did you experience the leg room at Anfield ?

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS

.. and they are putting in thousands of extra seats, some of which are raised disabled platforms.

:lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

The Emirates had 150 executive boxes !! .. and I won't even begin on the ticket prices.

Priceless.

Show me another ground where you look at walls and windows rather than seats full of loyal supporters of the club, you wont Tony has been seriously let down by the architects, the internal design of the stadium is shit

Not the real one
Why has the Amex gone all "disabled overload" like supermarket car parks? The west doesn't have these portakabins, why bother with them? Just make the east lower have a better disabled area like the rest of the stadium. I must honestly say, both the original plans and the mock up look crap. I just hope it doesn't look so bad in the flesh. What a shame.

No one was put in charge of manageing the architect which has proved to be a fundemental flaw in the design process consequenttly we have a stadium that looks like a supermarket

Not a wind up name a ground where cafes and office space behind silver clad walls take precedence over seats for supporters.

There aren't any portakabins. I'd imagine you are looking at the entrance to the platforms. You are living in the last century when you talk of "disabled areas".

"disabled overload". Brilliant. Not sure if you haven't noticed that going to football is one of the things that disabled people have just about managed to do in this country for years. Haven't quite managed to get them on the tube yet.

I agree they are somewhat "invisible", but there is a reason for that. Although football has a long history of disabled access, where it has got things wrong is by shoving them all into a corner or pitch side. In the modern world (do keep up) - if you get the chance to build a new stadium the general idea is to give as far as possible choice.

Why shouldn't disabled people be allowed the choice of an elevated view like everyone else. Does that seriously upset you ?

It's a fascinating viewpoint to take and worthy of deeper discussion: I aesthetically prefer continuous seats in a photograph of the empty stadium over raised platforms for the disabled.
