In a match where maximum bonus points could probably see us safe irespective of the result, we find ourselves 5 wickets down, not even on 200 hundred runs - BALLBAGS

I don't currently have the time to do the analysis, but our 1st innings performances have been nothing short of abysmal this season, even in the games we've won. If we could swap our 2nd for 1st innings scores we'd be safe by now.

Joyce who's scored the fourthest highest amount of runs in CC this season (Goodwin's 3rd)?
Panesar who's the 3rd highest wicket-taker?

Joyce. 2 tons in 27 inns
Nash. 1 ton in 26 inns
Monty - our star bowlers - 58 wickets at a smidgeon under 30 apiece, just the two 5-wicket hauls in 15 matches.

With the likes of Gatting, Wells, Ben Brown learning their trade our big players have to do better than this.

Only made over 300 in the first innings FOUR TIMES - and two of those were agsinst Yorkshore (second from bottom)

So far this season we have only made 4,070 runs in the first innings of 14 matches this season -at an average of 291 per innings - doesn't even scrape up 2 batting points - just rubbish

I remember Boyc's saying a few years ago " in a Test or a 4 day game, if you score 350 or more in your first innings, you will win more than you lose."

Whats the point of Prior playing for Sussex, bats in CC matches like he's batting in a T20, im sure Wells or Machan could have made 16 off 11 then got out?

2 batting points so far. 11 runs more and we get a third.take nine Worcestersauceyshire wickets and we get 3 bowling points which means we have 6 towards the 8 needed to be above Worcestershire.

Assuming that is that Yorkshirepuddingshire get max points from their match.

Then we want Hampshire to lose and all should be OK.
