Well that includes about half of the new mums and babies in my area.
But being a bit more serious, there are so many acute cases locally: mums on drugs, prostitution, depression, ill health, poverty etc.
That when we had our two kids, we received the most minimal post natal care.
Actually second time around we were happy with that.
And to take up another point raised here, on what ever question we asked, the vast majority of staff always went for the overwhelmingly "safe" answer. For the fear of future litigation.
If we followed the new NHS rule book. Ms LC would have spent the whole of the pregnancies laying in bed.
