If Butters is badly injured then who would you have as centre back?
i'd stick hinch back there cos he's played with and looked comfortable alongside danny before

Yeah, Hinsh at centre back and bring Albert back; let's have two wingers at home.

Read Dave Jones comments about the match.

We couldn't have won a fight against Stephen Hawking last night.

Second to every ball. Negative sideways and backwards passing. Poor first touches. A referee from Birmingham.

If it wasn't for Virgo we would have had one shot on goal. It's like 2 different sides that play away and at home.

I don't know what game you watched as Craddock had to clear a Hammond shot off the line.

I thought we played well but were outclassed by international players.

At the foot of the downs
No one passed it out left to Currie, who spent most of the second half unmarked,

And there was no atmosphere at all.

My thoughts and those of two mates who attended the match...First 20 minutes you would have thought we were the ex-premier league side. Played the ball around with aplomb and looked confident. Wolves, once they got into their stride break quickly and that showed some chinks in the Albion armour. We may be a side full of stamina but we are not that quick at the back. Miller was certainly dangerous for wolves as was the Korean but as someone already quoted...he should have got slapped for his antics.

Virgo ran himself into the ground, Leon I am afraid has been rumbled by defences and is, I believe looking out of his depth. When Currie was involved we commanded the match but he needs to be that little bit more interested at times. Overall, we were pleased with the performance and were worth at least a draw but need to test opposing keepers if we are to consider ourselves deserving of a win. That said there was enough to tell me that we can survive this division as we are getting better all the time. Far better performance than the Preston match and we beat them 1-0!

Keep the faith!

I thought we played pretty well last night, but didn't create enough chances as Wolves got to every 2nd ball that was knocked out their area first.

The goal was Kerry's fault. He got sucked under the flight of the ball rather than sticking on his man. That said I thought he had a good game and seems to have a decent understanding with Currie.

Jarrett could have done with longer on the pitch to try and produce something and I don't think that Hinsh on the wing is the way to go at home.

Ref was poor as was the slaphead lino who gave Wolves a number of odd decisions.

Back to normal then.
I honestly thought you would get at least a draw.
But did warn you they would come good soon on a previous thread.
Were they any good????

I thought Leon looked pretty good, and ran his socks off all night. Virgo faded, and began to look like a CB up front. Hinsh was lost on the right, and every attack ended when it got to him, we have to play a more offensive player when at home. Kuipers and Mayo were both badly at fault for the goal - Roberts would have almost certainly prevented it.

Wolves had 4 players that won them that game.

Lescott, Ki-Hyeun, Ince and Millar. Carl Cort held the ball up well in the latter stages for them.

On our part I thought Kuipers could have some for the that cross and we didn't play the ball into Knights feet enough although Lescott had him in his pocket all night. Jarrett should have been introduced earlier.

It was Mayo's fault for the goal and it was his fault for the way Miller skinned him alive and should have got a second.
Currie couldnt seem to beat the first man with his crosses/corners last night .Thought we played well without looking dangerous.Lescott is a prem class centre back though.

I thought we played well enough to deserve at least a draw last night, and was encouraged by some the football we played.

2 things did piss me off though. It seemed every time the ball went forward we were too slow to the second ball and let the Wolves defence clear too easily. I lost count of the number of times they were allowed to bring the ball out of defence without a Brighton player anywhere near them.

Secondly, I really thought Jarrett should have come on much much earlier.

Felt in all honesty we deserved a draw, though perhaps it's a good sign that we're going into matches against teams like Wolves now expecting to win.

Thought they seemed to grow in confidence after their goal, and will probably now use this as the springboard to climb up the table. They were in the Premiership last season, albeit nearly as crap as Palace are now, so over 46 games, they should end up near the top. I thought we outpassed them easily for the first 20 minutes- that's got to be a good sign after the rubbish of the Plymouth and Bristol rovers matches.

They just made their chance count once they had it and we didn't. Neither keeper had much to do.

Ref looked as though he was implementing the new FIFA ruling which dictates that in a match between a big club and a smaller club, the reputation and history of the big club shall count in their favour in all decisions. Furthermore, former England players shall have the final say on whether a free kick should be awarded or not....

Very true, Edna. That referee was a complete plank and Ince played him very well. It was incredible how attentive he was to make sure throw ins were taken in the right place but at one point in the first half there was a tackle on the edge of their box, the keeper replaced the divot caused by the tackle before taking the free kick at least 10 yards furthur upfield. Madness.

They had Kenny Miller!
We had Kerry Mayo!
Thats not just an obvious reference to their goal either. Kerry was lucky not to cost us a couple of goals. Looks to be struggling to me!

To be fair to Wolves, Lescott was out injured for a substantial chunk of last season. My Wolves-supporting mate reckons he's class, a view shared by most of the above posts

Thought Lescott did look good actually, to be fair.

Just think, this time last year, we were probably contemplating losing to Stockport or Rushden & Diamonds, and now we're disappointed at losing to Wolves.

Things aren't so bad... :lolol:
