Withdean bacon baguettes - RUINED?

I know there are many fans amongst NSC of the PREMIUM foodstuff available at Withdean - namely, the Bacon baguettes available in the South stand.

These are regularly one of the highlights of my visits to watch a match, and naturally I was dutifully in line yesterday, all set for a bacon delight. However, you can imagine my total DISMAY when I was served up with a change to the winning formula - the baguettes yesterday were NOT baked, turning my half treat from a crispy FEAST into a doughy CHORE.

I'm willing to overlook this as a one off oversight, however if this continues that is yet another thing crossed of the ever - diminshing list of reasons to bother going to Withdean.

Did anyone else notice this or was anyone lucky enough to have a correctly served baguette? I'm hoping it was just me so that I can continue to look forward to the BEST snack in future...

Try the North Stand the catering van there is abysmal rubbish and doesnt even serve Bovril which isa standard for all football grounds. Also charges £1.50 a bottle for cheap imported Coca Cola.

It certainly should be far better than it currently is, how hard is it really to get some professional catering in serving decent food.

its proper hot chocolate, think its the cadbury stuff they use but normally you need stir it when you get it or it sits on the bottom and you get a nice deposit to drink at the end of the cup mmmm

EXACTLY what I'm talking about - I assumed it was because they hadn't been baked though? But different bread, you could be on to something there.. The plot thickens.

I SHALL be complaining on Friday.

Nice suggestion, I may give that a try if the bread FARCE doesn't improve.

May I therefoe add TARTARE sauce to the NSC shopping list.

Serves you lot right for burning down the original tea hut. I know the lack of cutlery can be frustrating but there was no need to get all Guy Forks about it.
