Assuming the 6000 who go to games now attend Falmer, the club will need to find another 6000+ who will attend Falmer week in week out.

You would have thought that some of the missing 6000 would have tried/attended today's game.

So where are they?

Why would they go today? They will come to Falmer because it is a proper stadium with a proper atmosphere and facilities. Why would they come today when they have come in the last few years?

I thought today was a good attendance given the weather (forecast) and the fact it is still school holiday time.

Do you guys know FC United of Manchester ...club in the 7th division ... They have a attendance of 5000/6000 average per home game.
Guess why ?
Atmosphaire !!! They sing 90min NON STOP !! They don't even stop singing when goals are scored against them !!
If we double the atmosphaire ... We might even double the attendance ... It's not that hard to sing 90min then have 6/7days or so break an then sing 90mims again ???
Well up to you guys I will try and do it when I get my season ticket for calmer in 5 years ... But it's hard to do anything from here cause I live in Germany.
I listened to seagulls player during the match against rochdale ... Only chant I could here was : "cheat cheat cheat cheat !!" how about not singing that but sing songs: albion, super Brighton ,right side brightonboys..., good ol' Sussex by the sea , it's just like watching brazil ..., what ever you want to sing really... If you want to sing against the away team why don't you sing in your northern slums (my favorite tbh), I dunno you can just invent songs on the way ... :)
I think it should be the Brighton fans goal to be the best singing fans in the country ...

Up the Albion !!!

Have you ever watched the albion at the Withdean? It's not the easiest place to try and get an atmosphere going.

WRONG.

As much as I love FC (they were set up by a work colleague of mine) they average only 2,000 a game, which is still an achievement, and they are well worth watching.

The acoustics at Withdean/no roof makes it impossible to become the best fans atmosphere wise. It also puts people off singing, as it's actually pretty shit even when there's a lot of you.

I can also assure you that today, as i sit in block H, was a very good atmosphere. Many good, loud Brighton songs were sung, and I believe the reason you heard 'cheat, cheat, cheat' a lot was because it is 'sung' in a low pitched hum, making it easier to pick up on microphones.

In fact, 'cheat cheat' was hardly done at all! :)

Well at the fact that fc united got average 5000 is From there website and wiki.
And yes I go to about 3 matches a season at Withdean or away ... And I know it's not easy to sing at withdean ... But today's performance of the fans I can only judge on what I can hear over the seagulls player and last season and last week at withdean I definetly heard loads more and louder singing.
If we could bring up our standard singing to the standard when we were away at Aston villa (i was there, one of the best games I went to in my so far short Albion life)that would easyly be enough !!! Let's face it opening season falmer I guess average attendance maybe 12000or so after that we drop down to 7000/8000 again ???

Well hope we win on Saturday at shef wed ... Shame about yesterday:-/

Up the Albion!

I’m afraid to say, most fans are disillusioned about Falmer. We’ll get 7 - 8,000 max, no more.

P.s, You read it here first!

I'll bet you £50 you're wrong.

Shit prices = shit attendances.

Can't see it being any different at Falmer after the initial rush to go has died down.
