My Lacoste wool coat is still going strong after 9 years. Pretty good investment really, for 350 sheets.

the thing with coats is that they're exactly that- an INVESTMENT aren't they? yes they're expensive, but if you get several YEARS worth of wear out of them they're well worth it

i've almost definitely spent more on, say, jeans, than i have on coats in my lifetime

You can borrow the lightweight hoodie I used during winter here if you like and I will throw in the long trousers that are only worn from July to Sept.

I've treated myself to this baby from Billabong.
Actually my wife paid for it - result...

Wish i still had my late 60's early 70's greatcoats, were all the rage lol, had a grey ex-services one and an ex fire-brigade one (I think it was anyway). But the grey one was great. Seem to recall I got both from Brighton, one in Kensington Gardens, the other i believe was in a surplas store, maybe North road, ahh the retro memories

I'm from far too far north to need a coat. Hoody does me in any conditions. Southern pansies...

Can you get a sheepskin hoody then? Maybe your ears need protecting, I can't imagine how far north all those pansies in Edinburgh and Manchester are.

Or should it be Man-Chester...
