I'm torn between various flights of my imagination on this one. Has he:

(1) twatted a player or staff member
(2) had it away with somebody's wife
(3) done something financially dodgy/ Telegraph related
(4) popped round to Keith Vaz's for a party
(5) continued to play Richard Keogh in the face of all logic
(6) spent too much time looking for Pokemon on the training ground
(7) voted Leave
(8) gone to Channel 4

?

Chairman wanted to pick the team
Neil Warnock seen heading to the East Midlands

I know it's Pearson we're talking about, but it's hard to know with Derby at the moment.

Remember this is the club that got rid of Paul Clement for the reason along the lines of "promotion this season was never part of the plan" I can't think of any other manager sacked for being TOO successful.

Something odd going on at that club. As evidenced by the hiring of Pearson in the first place.

Perhaps the Chairman has just realised that he is a shit manager?

Chris Powell hasnt done his chances of becoming their manager any harm in the last 2 games. For stability I like Chris Powell and think that although limited in attacking ideas he is a sound manager to keep the team rolling along, possibly more suited to a midtable avoid relegation fight than promotion.

So apparently the Derby chairman flew a drone over the training ground to check up on Pearson, is paying out £3 million to sack him and is lining up Steve McLaren as his replacement. Comedy gold. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/nigel-pearson-derby-county-drome-8958911

It would be great if that's true. Paying out £3 million for a manager who has only been there two months and replacing him with McClaren.

Could be a few Championship changes with Cardiff and Villa probably close to sackings too.

I agree, Powell would be a much better choice than McLaren. Already on board so knows the players and has a solid, if not spectacular record at this level.

Their board can't keep throwing money at this surely?

They can though.....Mr Candy Crush has a bottomless wallet (luckily he appears to be another bit of a clown of an owner)

Tapatalk: Derby County Football Club can today confirm that they have mutually agreed to part company with Nigel Pearson with immediate effect.

As a result of the mutual termination of Nigel Pearson’s employment agreement with Derby County any disciplinary process has now ceased.

The Board of Derby County will now turn their attention to appointing a new manager as soon as possible and expect to announce a successor in a timely fashion.
