Our season is petering out in a series of dull results.I cannot see it being any better on the field next season;more punchless performances,no threat of the play-offs.

Mediocre,really.

It's been 8 years since our last summer spending spree....

does not need to be a spree, a right back and left back and a good couple of loans will do the trick (hopefully one who can bang in 20)

What about a left midfielder? Or a partner for Hammond? Or a right midfielder who can give Cox a kick up the arse he's needed since November?

And what about cover for when we get injuries? At the moment our subs bench is shocking.

This squad needs lots of strengthening, and that's clearly not going to happen.

Well that's mid-table mediocrity for ya. That was the stated aim this season, and you're not supposed to enjoy it. The Albion rarely have the luxury of playing like non-leaguers where it don't matter, but that's the reality. Can't think of a single sane reason for renewing as a STH (there were about 20 free seats in my row in H Block) but will probably do so one more time. Can't keep lobbing the Albion a donation of 25 quid every time I can't make a match due to the tickets having LITERALLY zero sell-on value.

NO!

And to be honest with the club being run on a shoestring held together with bubble gum it could be worse!

This falmer thing has bled us dry to the tube of 4million and I cant see any sizeable investment being made!

Same position next season will be a result!

And what about cover for when we get injuries? At the moment our subs bench is shocking. If you look at most teams, they don't have strength in depth, because this is Division Three. Only Bristol City and possibly Forest do.

This squad needs lots of strengthening, and that's clearly not going to happen.
We need two or three players as long as we don't lose any to be a playoff pushing side.

Wilkins's survival plan;-

Get at least 1 point from all remaining fixtures, 56 points should guarantee survival ???

Must have done, although I actually lost them a year ago with regards to the games.
I don't think we'll be any better next season either.

Give Wilkins the chance to do some of much needed squad rebuilding in the summer and we will be genuine play off contenders next season.

Will he be given the chance to do any rebuilding? His predecessors weren't (not for a few years anyway)

You don't like discussion much, do you? If someone doesn't agree with your point of view they bore you or they are cretins (see the other thread)

Not everyone is going to agree and that is what message boards are about.
