Will McGhee drop Kuipers now?

He had no chance with any of the goals, and I know they all happened rightt in front of me.

First goal was the result of defensive cock up leaving a huge gap in font of Kuipers on the six yard line

Second goal was a well hit shot fom haper that he had no chance even at full stretch

third was either Currie's or Harding's fault (dependeing on your pov) which left MK horribly exposed when we were all up field

Can't believe many on this thread... none of the goals down to Kuipers, with the possible exception of their 2nd... but, if he had got it, then it would have been an amazing save... FDM has not played for many months... FDM's kicking was much improved... Roberts still has a tendancy to over-commit himself on 50-50 balls into the area... FDM a better shot-stopper... give FDM a chance...

Oh, and last time I looked, selection for the 1st team is NOT based on looks...

Hope Michel proves the doubters wrong against Plymouth...

Incidentally, the double save that kuipers made away to wolves was the best ive ever seen live...

You are forgetting how he single-handedly stopped Bristol City beating us at the end of the previous season at Withdean - including that screamer he tipped over the bar, and the series of point blank saves he made.

Anyway, Kuipers is better than Roberts. End of. :)

Oh really? I quite thought it was! If that were the case I think MM would be hard pressed to find more than a couple of contenders! It really annoys me that some men think the only reason women follow football is to ogle at the players. The fact that one goalkeeper might be better looking than the other is, of course, totally irrelevant and it's all a matter of taste, anyway. :lolol: :lolol:

I can't see how FDM was expected to reach it right in the bottom corner. It was a toe-poke and could have gone anywhere. Well done to Harper but it gave Michel no chance.

I think I'd still rather see Roberts in goal, but it's a tough call as they both have their strengths and weaknesses.

I hope you are not accusing me of being the kind of man that thinks that all women who go to footie matches do so to study the player's looks!... if you go back over this thread, you will see why I made my earlier comment...

FDM a better keeper IMHO... but I admit it's close...

Quite literally single-handedly...

Personaly I think they're both quality keepers. When they're on form they're unstopable. Therefore you have to go on recent form more than anything else.

In conclusion. If Kuipers is in form - play him. If Roberts is - play him.

And if they both are?

According to the official site Roberts could be fit in days.

McGhee's own words are.' I think he's only days away really. I would be disappointed if Ben's not invoved on Saturday.'

That tells you all you need to know.

McGhee rates Roberts over Kuipers and Michel is going to have to have a real stormer against Plymouth to put in any sort of claim to be number one.

I loved his double save at Wolves but I cannot see him getting into MM's good books at present. The twice he has played he has let in 3 goals.
