I think so, I just saw him with Ossie Ardilles picking up their Blue passports.

Thankfully Paul Cooper will be stunt double for penalties.

Not sure what to make of it but I’ve just seen Pele going into The Grand with an England flag draped over his shoulders

Nicked from Guardian article.

Team A
Comfortably won their group without conceding.
Unbeaten in 9.
Conceded 5 goals in 17 games - that is a mental statistic.

Team B
Haven't kept a clean sheet in 6 games.
Slightly shambolic in qualifying - only sneaked through on 4 points towards the end.

Team A is at home with 45,000 fans.

All about mentality as to why we feel we might not win it. Take the emotion out, the psychology, and we really should.

I feel like if we don't shit ourselves we will win, basically.

I mean, yeah.

But we’ve been here before. I felt the same in the SA World Cup.

Granted this time, aside from CB positions we have a stronger squad.

I’m not saying Southgate is a genius, but we definitely have more of a plan, look more of a major tournament side than we did in 2010.

I’m fully aware there is every chance we’re going out tomorrow, I’m not for a second suggesting it’s in the bag.

Oh definitely agree. I think Southgate gets way too much stick. He’s very good with young players and building team spirit.

That’s my view and unless there’s a heavy heavy defeat I’d probably stick with GS regardless of the result tomorrow.

Which is more valuable in major tournaments than in day to day club management, I think. Psychology and mentality are huge when every game is do or die.

Look at Capello - superb club manager - dreadful at a major international tournament.

Yes we'll win because there's plenty of insignificant 'little' teams left for us to lose too.
As Jon Bon Jovi once said:-

I’ve been giving the question posed by the OP some considerable thought. I’ve voted for England to win in normal time. If I had to go for a score, I’d plump for 2-0.

It took a while, but I’m off the fence now.

Great call - Hope you were giving it some when the goals went in HT :)

I had to explain my “dentist chair” but otherwise all good!

Not to be an aftertiming tosser, but this is what I text a mate when the teams were announced;

"That is a side to control the first hour. Keep it tight then go for the win in the last 30 as they tire and we bring on some creativity."

Almost like Southgate knows what he's doing.
