they've had thousands of trackers ready for weeks. how they haven't gone live is a puzzle, seems stuck waiting on the app that isnt essential for basic tracking operations.

Well this Government is taking efficiency to a whole new level. 4 weeks ago they hadn't finished putting together the recruitment for trackers, and I guess a day later, they had thousands recruited and trained.

I'm really not picking on you, but can you please stop posting these crap rumours. I really don't know where you get them from and there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever. Just try checking first, before you post them

Deportivo Seagull He would of perished If I was his only hope. We were rammed by both of the feckers. Thor went for ram on us earlier in the week, but we turned in time and she scraped along our side. I was on the signal deck and the attempt resulted in me getting drenched to the skin by the wall of water it caused. Ive never felt cold like it. I wasnt even paying attention when the Aegir clobbered us. Was on the bridge, head down, doing some long winded message over the radio to our supply ship, and heard the skipper shout brace for ram. I looked up and was thinking that I cant see anything to ram and was then thrown from my seat. That was my 'war'. My mother was an RAF ambulance driver in London during the blitz and has better 'war' stories than me

My only war stories are of getting shitfaced in some less than salubrious dives around the med and a few dodgy moments in Norway.

And in English if at all possible?

Unless of course you were cycling whilst replying?

Christ it looks like I threw the keyboard down a flight of stairs and pressed submit reply.

That's what will throw you over the edge!?!!

I hope someone remembers this (were all looking at Watford!) because is you can take it to the point of Gove, I reckon it's a very small step onto his bus.

No need to remember anything, this is the Internet.

This is what some people seem to struggle with, Ppf's benefit holidays, Ardent Unionist JCFG on Irish sea borders, pastafarian with his bookmarks and subsequent disappearing act, Two profs publishing the address of his next door neighbour's drug den, once it's been posted for 30 mins these things are there in black and white for all eternity

You would think so wouldn't you ? Surely nobody could be this inept

Apparently Germany have run track and trace throughout the whole pandemic, but they have also had the efficient testing system needed to back it up. I wonder how that turned out ?

God help us. Even slimier than Johnson.

I agree with you once again.

(Although it's interesting to think that the three leaders of the you-know-what in 2016 are now being described as a slimeball, a cock-socket and a hypocritical liar - and that's mainly by the people who supported them.)

So, unless the police investigation leads to a finding that the law was broken he can ride this out.

This is one of the things they've been hiding behind with their use of language. DC et al say that he's done "nothing illegal", and this is true, precisely because (and please correct me if I'm wrong on this) the government didn't introduce legislation on the lockdown, they issued guidelines for the public to follow and, where necessary, the police to enforce. This police enforcement was due to another piece of legislation which widened their powers to respond to 'live' (as opposed to retrospective) issues.

That's the app that's managed to find one person and is so effective that the government is looking at using a different app ..... riiiiggght

well...according to the politicians who pushed it it will only be used to inform you if your phone has been within 1.5 mtrs of someone who has subsequently been confirmed with the virus ......so , seeing as our confirmed cases are ball teasingly few and far between , despite all the bullshit restrictions we are still facing , perhaps this may explain why it hasn't "found" anyone .....no doubt whoever designed the app is now made for life ......probably an m.p's son , niece , godchild or suchlike .......our current govt. pisses all over yours for nepotism , ineptitude , corruption , dishonesty and spunking public money if that's any consolation.

I recommend the FT podcast, with David Allan Green - basically highlighting how Cummings' statement is the result of a lot of legal input (and in fact is highly unlikely to have been the work of Cummings at all).

Listened to that yesterday. Didn't really need a pod to tell you it was carefully crafted doc but it was interesting to see the mechanics of it nonetheless.
