Already being defended on Twitter by obvious fake accounts.

Didn't break the rules because..

1) Durham was now his home.

2) His visit to a nearby town was simply "exercise".

3) Returning to London and back to Durham was fine because that was now his commute.

:)

God how stupid do those Cabinet Ministers look now defending him on Twitter.

I have not and would not ask you.
Out of interest, do you think it is ok to call someone a racist because they voted to leave the EU?

No it most certainly isn't and if it is any consolation to you. I probably don't think that you are.

That said. A culmination of your many posts put together. It is perhaps slightly understandable why some posters may draw such a conclusion.

Some of your posts on conjunction with others certainly lead even me to deduce that you at the very minimum are intolerant to the plight of minority groups or humanitarian issues.

West is BEST
Seems to have been enjoying quite the beano across the U.K. Days out, trips to picturesque market towns, high tea with the parents, popping round to the in-laws.

This could be Boris’s opportunity to grab back some credibility. He won’t. And the masses will still vote for him next election.

That is what was said “ a self professed racist and Brexit support er”
Is that ok in your opinion ?that someone who dared to vote to leave the EU is racist? Do you really believe that?
As I said, the post has been reported, it is upto the powers that be to do something about it.

No it's not OK to say things like that. You said nothing racist whatsoever, bloody ridiculous.

Are we in danger of shooting the messenger? From what I've read, Kuensberg has done no more than report what the government is saying. She's not supporting (or opposing) what they are saying, she's just announcing that they said it. Isn't that just doing her job?

I agree with everything you say after 'Pair of Slippery Shits'.

It's the fact that she tried to argue with another journalist tweet/message. She sheds her skin all the time. She absolutely loves Johnson so will defend his master. It's really quite rank.

Yep, agree. But the reality is the governments position on Cummings has put the lock down in jeopodary, they've lost their moral authority

100% it has. You are right but the last thing we need is another High Profile TV Presenter telling the public that it's OK to break the lockdown.

No doubt that Dominic's little road trip is THE main talking point this weekend, aside from the virus itself.

But to keep this thread on NSC please can contributors refrain from (a) making it a re-run of the Brexit thread, and (b) turning it into a debate on who may be racist and who isn't.

Otherwise, it will have to be closed.

That's it really. Please feel free to call me a knob here or via PM. Cheers.

Not sure what the issue is with getting rid of him, frankly.

Do it now, do it quickly, and then he can be brought back in a year or so when he can claim to have learned his lesson.

I'm sure creative ways can be found for Cummings to still advise from afar (even Durham), if they really can't function without him.

I suspect there may be a quite a few in the party who want Cummings out now. Not just Sajid Javid. There is a fair chance that if what is being said now, all the lying as well as the flagrant arrogance, is true, people won't forget and, if he goes, Cummings will be properly out, as out as Degsy Hatton was out when Kinnock eviscerated him. No cumming back. After that the floodgates will open, and the cowardly self-servers will all be saying how much the party needed to 'rebalance' and 'rediscover its core values' 'after Covid'. The tories are utterly ruthless when it comes to winning, and Cummings is beginning to stink the place out.

The problem is Cummings won't walk and Boris won't sack him, partly because I don't think Boris has a clue what to do about Brexit (or anything) without a Dommy hand hold.

Let's imagine Cummings does walk, with a plan he operates in the shadows like you suggest. People will know! It will be obvious! Have you ever seen Sooty charm an audience without Mr Corbett's fist up his arse? Boris would be an empty suit.

With the gossip (in parliament and in the media) that Cummings isn't really gone, will then a sufficient number in the party start to see Boris as toxic? I don't have the impression Boris consults anyone other than Cummings about important issues right now. As long as the ministers stay on message (Cumming's message) Cummings is happy. If not, like with Javid, they are toast. I don't get the impression Boris has much meaningful interaction with his Cabinet other than to tell them to do what Cummings has told him.

Without Cummings close, Boris may become even more useless than he's been up to now. But in the country, if there is still a whiff of Cummings about (after he 'goes') Boris could quickly become more unpopular than Thatcher was when her party booted her out.

The only problem is the party is so full of low octane self-serving jackasses at the moment it is hard to see who would have the gravitas and traction to get up the necessary momentum to oust Boris. And I suspect the cabinet know how much Boris needs Cummings....

So, no, I think they will brazen it out, and that the cabinet and indeed the party will stand foresquare behind them. The shits.

Thread seems fine to me.

That said, I have several posters on it, one in particular, on ignore. Why not just ban the silly billies from this thread? You have the technology.
