34,000 versus rochdale 3rd tier but never 30,000 in the top div in 4 years???

I think the capacity was restricted by then wasn't it? Pretty sure our capacity was something like 28,000 due the state of the east terrace? The capacity also reduced when the South was made all seater.

no we just never over 30,000 in div 1
one of those strange facts, lost alot of fans because fences went up and terrace price went up from a £1 to £1.50??? PLUS PEOPLE WANTED TO SEE A WINNING TEAM
SO TB BE CAREFUL WITH THE SUSSEX PUBLIC:glare:

No, as has been pointed out with having to split the stand for home and away fans, as well as the comp tickets the club keeps, we'll never fill it to capacity. We could well get close, but I'd be very surprised if we got to 30k.

Agree - unless we expand to about 32k.

How many "no shows" will still be no-shows if we are playing Man Utd/City, Arsenal, Liverpool etc.....

If we are in the premier league we have to announce tickets sold, not number of people that turned up, they will all be sell-outs and thus all over 30k.

That's great news, I don't know why but I feel that broadcasting the 30,000 mark is crucial for sending a message out across Europe that we have arrived and we're the biggest of all the also-rans.

"There won't be 30,750 seats in the stadium, but it [the planning application] gives us a bit of scope if we find a bit of space for a few more..." Martin Perry, The Albion Roar, 24 Mar

You can squeeze in more seats with the Easyjet (narrower seats) option :lolol:

The Amex can be made bigger (at least that's what the architect told me at Withdean) the East Stand and arch can be raised, whether that will ever happen I don't know, absolute maximum he said was 35 k

Sounds a bit of a costly exercise for 4 thousand more seats.

If the seats are in for next season you could see a fair few 30kish crowds no problem in the championship,in the prem it's an easy sell out every game.
