Bring back capital punishment I say. Especially for grave acts of stupidity like this thread.

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
And 'Big Time' Chris with his massive Surrey pad, helicopter etc etc is going to come here yeah ?

:nono:

Think you will find you are very much in a minority on the Wilkins OUT bandwagon.

Wilkins is doing a good job in the circumstances.

He has his hands tied with the current squad and I think he is being left frustrated by players not doing the jobs they are being asked to.

I think what we need is one or two more COACHES to help ease his workload.

not sure he has his hands that tied considering the large offers we put in for strikers and the number of players he's brought in

Chris Coleman asked for a war chest of (circa) £20m to ensure Fulham retained their Premiership status and to build on his team the following season. I wonder if he would take the Brighton job (which incidentally will not be available once Deano signs the contract) with such financial restraints. Hmmm...

What about judging him before Christman when he has a bit of breathing space to dabble in the trasnfer market and build on his own side?

Or maybe coaches who can coach the players to produce the goods and goals.

Agree think Wilkins is not the problem more white and chapman.
Its crazy that Chapman only trains the team during the week and is with the mighty hawks at the weekend

Les, Wilkins has not achieved a single thing this year with the first team. He was doing a brilliant job with the youth and since he has been the manager the youth team have gone downhill and we're not even safe from relegation yet.

But hey i know what, lets offer him a 3 year contract :jester:

All my birds? There has never been a plural of them.

I was actually doing a bird doggy once while she was flicking through the TV channels. Was quite good, like using a fit bird to wank with.

Sorry, what do you mean achieved? What were you expecting him to 'achieve'. I would say keeping a team of youngsters, oaps and freebies in this division is a achieving. Although we will have to wait until the end of the season to judge this properly.

The youth team hasn't done as well this year because a large portion of them are 1st years due to the mass influx of 2nd years that went with the 3rd years into the first team squad.

Why don't you try to look a bit deeper than what is in front of your face next time you decide to post rubbish.

Will the new manager automatically form a spine to the team? We have lost too many influential players and had the core of our team taken from us. What do you expect? A miracle after less than a season in charge?! The youth team has suffered (results wise) as it is made up of first year scholars as most of the 'boys' have been moved to the first team, due to financial restraints FROM PLAYING AT WITHDEAN AND FIGHTING FOR THE STADIUM!!!

Of course Deano has his faults, but he is learning and he will be able to take stock over the Summer and hopefully build on the team.

You start a 'Wilkins out' thread (not the first I'm sure) and then say he should be replaced by Coleman or MA... really?!?

Coleman would not touch the job with a bargepole, it's ridiculous to think otherwise. And MA, well we've had this debate before, ad infinum, and the majority view seems to be that we shouldn't go back.

And as Les says, I don't know exactly what you want DW to have achieved this season. We aren't going to get relegated, and he can now have the summer to craft his own team. The consensus at the start of the season was that we'd be happy with mid-table. OK we've been a bit closer to the relegation places that we'd have liked, but we're still ultimately mid-table.

He was never going to replicate his youth team form with the first team, certainly not in the short term. So get over it.
