I think losing 6 games in a row is enough of a chance for me. It was so clear we needed an expeirenced manager who had a decent record in this league but we decided to sack one of those and stick with a youth team manager.

Wilkins was a good stop gap to keep things ticking over until a replacment came in. A good servant indeed, but you dont ask the servant to become the boss.

we need a proper manager to come in turn things around. quickly. and if that means a change in the board, so be it. otherwise we'll be back in the basement division and i do not like that idea.

I do not think many managers could get our current squad to play attractive football on a regular basis. Without any investment on the playing side the team will slip down the table no matter who is in charge.

I think it's a bit too early to sack him. I would have prefered for Knight to have got an outsider in who had a bit of league experience, but I'm prepared to give Deano a few months to get some decent loan signings in.

But if we are in the bottom 3 come mid January, then maybe it was the wrong appointment.

I have a lot of respect for Dean's work with the youth team, but this is the hard reallity of Div 1. We need an experienced manager who can wheel and deal to bring in some loans. Just like Coppell did.

Dean said he needed the week to work with the team but they were worse that last week.
