Isn't it all so obvious? Same thing happening again, players favourite as manager, how many defeats is it going to take this time?

DK should be strung up for making the same mistake twice, especially for giving Wilkins the job after 3 straight defeats.

After the massive disappointment of McGhee going I have been willing to give Wendy a chance, but he is clearly not up to it. In the past DK has learnt from his mistakes, he must not let the Hinchelwood era happen again. WIlkins should go now. :albion:

Too late I'm afraid. This has to be the worst coached Albion side in living memory

As a MM outer i'll never hide. It's a confidence thing going on with the players and you could see it all over the pitch. It just needs a few players to take responsibility to take the game by the scruff of the neck.

we need to make a couple of loan signings- experienced heads bumming around at championship clubs who can come in and organise and restore confidence.

Where do you get this notion of loyalty from? All the other managers left us because they got offered better jobs. That is football I am afraid.
When on record was McGhee ever offered the job at another club whilst he was at the the Albion?

Because of a hate campaign started by a bunch of people on here

Did Dick Knight go on record as saying I'm sacking him because Trigger on NSC has started a poll asking if he should go for the last few weeks? ??? Hardly. I think the falling attendances and choruses of boos that were being heard at the final whistle of every home game had something to do with it.

You mean like today?

It is common knowledge that a handful of people on here were proudly boasting about their gatherings behind the dugout (and the hurling of abuse at McGhee) at numerous matches at Withdean and in my opinion it escalated as more and more people incapable of thought processes of their own all joined in-either at games or on here.

That's how hate campaigns start.

And if you think the club (and many players) don't monitor this site......

Deano is a good coach but he is suffering because of a poor assistant and lack of funding for players. We have failed to replace Cullip, Knight, CKR and many more. Forget all the crap about players not coming here if you pay them their wages they will come.

But we've just signed two loan players. Oh they're kids as well!:jester:

With no investment, Dean Wilkins has no more chance than McGhee had. As I said at the time McGhee was scapegoated, to deflect the heat from DK. Its time for Dk to do something about the investment or go. He looks tired.

I'm sorry, but that's just not true. Taylor left us without being offered another job.

Ok then since Dick Knight has been Chairman he sacked Steve Gritt, Brian Horton left to go to Port Vale nearer his home. Jeff Wood got the sack. Mickey Adams moved on to a bigger club. Peter Taylor resigned stating a lack of money for the squad and Steve Coppell went to Reading. So three out of the six went because they got a better deal elsewhere, you can't include the two who got the sack.

I don't think Peter Taylor did resign. He was only contracted until the end of that season and didn't renew it on the basis that he didn't believe the right budget was there to compete in the Championship. Either that or he thought he was getting a job in the England world cup set up depending on who you listen to.

Today's performance was clueless, toothless and worst of all, gutless.

Now,this is down to all the usual suspects, and I suspect nothing will change until we break with the idea that the young men who did so well in the FA Youth Cup can step straight into the League team and be heroes.

Our team looked no better than an average park team today, and every time the cameras showed DW he looked worried and confused.

He is clearly as much out of his depth as our team is.

We continue to use our loan allowances on other clubs' youngsters to add to our own,and today Blackpools defenders got out the deckchairs for their easiest day of the season.

There must be experienced players out there somewhere to bolster this deflating side, players used to the cut and thrust of the league, not ones who appear to expect professional football to be played like a friendly school match.

And the time to act is now.

I'm afraid we need a proper manager, someone whose contacts can lead us to some capable-at-this-level players.

Up the Albion!
