Wilkins/Hinshelwood Comparison

Did Dick Knight go on record as saying I'm sacking him because Trigger on NSC has started a poll asking if he should go for the last few weeks? ??? Hardly. I think the falling attendances and choruses of boos that were being heard at the final whistle of every home game had something to do with it.

Bozza said last week that he was certainly sacked after the Bristol game because of what was written on here, otherwise he would have been given the Millwall game.

Millwall were so terrible that day, a McGhee team could easily have taken them. A shit Orient team then coming up....so yes, the crap written on here does have a big influence on the club. Incredible, but true.

And the falling attendances under McGhee were a myth, we had 6.6 and 6.7 for McGhee's first two games and a respectable 5.8 for a late-switch Sunday when people would have spent all their money going to Lords. Compare that to now, eh?

The debacle of sacking MM it now hopefully becoming clear to even the dimmest Albion fan. It was the worst mistake by far of Dick's 10 year tenure as chairman and I can only believe it was because of presuure from Bloom and moronic D Blockers , well now they have got their way and the club is plummeting to div 4 football I hope this are happy.

I think McGhee's sacking is the harshest sacking ever in Albion's history the only other one that comes close was Cattlin. McGhee lost 3 games but 2 of thise were away at Forest and Bristol City, 1st and 2nd in the league.

Wilkins 5 defeats have been against teams near the bottom.

Isn't it all so obvious? Same thing happening again, players favourite as manager, how many defeats is it going to take this time?

DK should be strung up for making the same mistake twice, especially for giving Wilkins the job after 3 straight defeats.

You hit the nail on the head mate, I was getting very concerned every time I heard the players saying 'please' give it to Wilkins. Footballers ALWAYS want the easier option, they are just like you and me and in the long run it never works out.

We all want an easy going boss, the one who does'nt mind you calling in sick or slacking off, its even more evident with footballers because they get paid a shit load more than your average bloke (even at Brighton).

What we needed when Mark left was a no nonsense manager in the Micky Adams mould who after a result like today would have had the players locked in the dressing room for 2 hours and made them come in the next morning for extra training.

Dean is a decent bloke and an excellent coach but making him manager so soon is going to damage his career badly as I can see us getting relegated unless something miraculous happens.

This is all down to pre season objecvtives;

MM said he was aiming for the play offs, if he failed we would sit comfortably in mid table.

DK said he would be happy with midtable. If that failed where would we be in the relegation zone.

We are carrying too many deadweights at the moment players that have served us well in the past but not up to the job in hand now.

Dean Wilkins has to make some strong decisions the first is to get Dean White away from 'coaching' and back on the road as Chief Scout, mind you he hasn't been too goood at that either.

Then bring in an nexperenced coach preferably an exdefender to sort out the shamble of a back four of ours. Didnt I suggest Jason Dodd to do that whilst injured last year. Oh dear silly me.

Hinsh took 4 points from 12 games

Wendy has taken 7 points from 7 games - losing to teams that in some cases were below us in the league

McGhee ( this season ) took 7 points from 6 games - losing to teams that are now 1st, 2nd and 7th

A point a game - about our average so far = 40 to 45 points = relegation
