Why is the Big Board open to anything?

So in Portuguese, please explain why a table is feminine?
Wasn't sure if "The Big Board" was the correct place to ask, so it's here instead.

And yet the French form of table is masculine, the plot thickens.

As it is in German. In German the word for a girl - a word generally feminine in nature, you'd think - is neuter. WHY.

Perhaps table in Portuguese is feminine because tables belong in the kitchen, as do women...................
Wait for it.......Go!

I find it hard to believe football is still allowed to be debated on the big board.

Never discuss politics, religion or the 4-2-3-1, as my gran used to say.

Hither (sometimes Thither)
I come to NSC for emotional advice and for new recipes. Oh, and to takes notes on when people are on family evenings out or on holiday so that i can befriend, find the address of, and burgle when away, only to offer complete support and shock when they return whilst sipping some delightful pilfered whisky from the tumblers i half-inched and wearing a hat i construct of stolen underwear.

Just to recap folks, this topic was started by me, not questioning the varied subjects people post about on here, but the way the NSC forum sections are organised, or not the case may be.
Please just take it as just constructive criticism, separating the football stuff from the general stuff, for me is just a neater and easier way of forum use.
However I'm quite happy to follow your ways.

As for the jacket spuds and their fancy fillings, please just leave them and their little plastic forks in the office.

The most curious thing..
Don't like baked potatoes.
Burn, burn the witch......

Cheese, tuna, mayonaisse, butter, spring onion, black pepper, and maybe a helping of baked beans on the side..

I seem to recall a vote on splitting the board along football and non-football lines and it went overwhelmingly in favour of keeping the status quo.

Wouldn't mind separate song suggestions forum though!
